Need help setting snorkel tube backlash

I turn out on the snorkel tube till I feel zero play. I can see my first notch. I rotate to second notch then 3rd notch. On the third notch it has some play. If I rotate the shaft, there are some spots with zero play. Is this right? If I rotate to the 4th notch, I have a little play with no spots with zero play. Sorry if I don’t make sense. Trying to think of the best way to word it. It also makes some noise when I spin it. I’m assuming that’s normal sense I have no oil in it right now?

How dose the 4×4 work on the 1000

I have an 800 and the 4×4 only engages when the rear tires slip. is the 1000 the same? The reason I ask is because I was talking to a guy the other day that said one of his front CVs broke while in 4×4 in the sand on flat ground doing about 45 mph. This he said caused the still intacked CV to pull the car hard to the left and causing the rzr roll. Dose this sound possible? Im thinking he may have roll do to driver error and broke the CV in the process. Any thoughts? thanks? Hes going after the deal for a defective CV.

14 xp 1000 crank bearings?

Hello to all, have a 14 xp1000 and spun a main bearing. with help of a friend decided to tackle it myself…. since the motor is already open i have decided to go with a big bore kit…ordered carrillo connecting rods and new crankshaft along with stator gasket and big bore kit…problem now is figuring out which bearings to order, cant make heads or tales of all the codes and not even sure what the code is on the connecting rod. any and all help will be apreciated..
the letter code on the new crank is y g y g y y.. the number code on the crankcase is 322212…am not sure the code on the connecting rods, not even sure how to find out…may have to call carrillo..
