Hey guys. I’m picking up my new 2016 model soon and wonder if Polaris has changed out the cam chain tensioner to an improved one or should I expect the same start up rattle to exist in my new one as well? I know Weller Racer has built a stronger, more durable tensioner that looks exactly like the factory one that have great reviews on here for solving this issue. I just hate dropping so much money just to turn around and spend $150 on a tensioner that Polaris should be aware of and have it fixed by now.
I just wonder if you guys that have owned 2016 models for a few months have experienced this well known/documented issue with the cam chain tensioner?

So i don’t know if anyone has tried this or not i have yet to find anything online. So heres the story last weekend i was riding with a few friends, well long story short one of them wanted to drive my new HL RZR 1000 and i said no, so i go inside my buddies house and next thing i know my so called "friend" managed to crank my rzr with a small master lock key by just simply jiggling it into the ignition without damaging anything and it cranked right up. Im just glad it was a buddy of mine. So this is the only area i see a can am being better due to the fact they have electronic keys.
Any dealers on here please pm me a quote for a set of super atv forward arched a arms for a Rzr 1000. I know with the coupon code they are around $350 I believe just like to see if anyone can beat that. Or if anyone has a used set for sell Lmk Thanks,

I just picked up my new XP 1000 this afternoon at Jones Powersports in Durant, OK. These guys were great to deal with and worth the 4.5 hour drive. No one in Austin could get close to their price (even after adding Texas Sales tax).
I was only able to ride a few mins on the dealer’s test track, but I absolutely love it! It didn’t take long to get it a little dirty, but it was a blast.
It is quite the upgrade for me from my 2011 XP 900. I drove a buddy’s 2014 XP 1000 this weekend and I knew as soon as I pushed the gas pedal that it was time to upgrade.
I added a few things at the dealer (Harnesses, winch, half windshield, roof), but now the real fun begins… :ride:

I have found a used 2014 XP1000. It has 600 miles on it. It also has a salvage title, and according to the owner is due to theft. The thing looks great except for a small crack in one of the fenders. Im thinking I can get it for $10K – $9K. Should I walk away, or give it a look?
If I do go look at it what should I look for? I have never owned a SxS before. I am mechanically inclined, but ignorant when it comes to a rzr.
I have been looking and I see many rzr fires. I’m thinking the small, cheap extinguishers will last maybe 5-7 seconds, and might put a fuel leak fire out, but it will continue to drip and catch back on fire. So I’m thinking a manual, push button chemical solution that would have two nozzles, one per each side of the engine and one for the front or perhaps the passenger area. They run 400-700 or more and seem like the best thing there, so long as you push the button. And don’t accidently push it.
My reasoning is this, my life and my child’s is worth the cost, especially if I can afford the rzr, plus all the crap I will bolt on to it. So cost isn’t a factor and I will still have one or two dinky ones. But the primary fire control will be the chemical as I think that’s the best solutions if the rzr catches on fire.
Thoughts? Love to hear what others have did in this area.
