2016 XP1000 spring rates & tender swap

Does anyone know if the 2016 XP1000 and XP4 1000 have the same spring rates they had in previous years? Polaris Microfiche doesn’t seem to show spring rates.

I am considering ordering the XP4 front tender springs, installing those on the front, and moving the stock XP1k tenders to the rear. For those that have done this, do you find the front ride too harsh with the XP4 280# upper tenders? I expect to have 250-300lbs in accessories plus riders. RZR will be used for east coast trails type riding, slow paced, and rough/bumpy riding. I don’t want to lose the smooth ride at slow speeds. Not concerned about high speed whoops.

Service Manual

Can this service manual be used for a 2016 XP 1000 EPS, or are there differences that could harm the RZR?

Thanks.

Snorkel Shaft driver

I am in the process of replacing the bearings in my transmission. I am in need of the Polaris special tool to remove the retaining ring from the snorkel shaft housing. I found a part number of PA-50231. Any ideas where I can buy one? Thanks in advance

Feeling stupid.

Hey guys,

Okay so I am new to the RZR world. I have just purchased a practically brand new 2014 1000xp. I have been reading these threads like crazy trying to figure out wiring. I know I have the distribution block up front under the hood. I know I have power to ACC port. I know I do not have anything running from the battery to the BATT port.

I am determined to do all my wiring myself. I have seen a few wiring harnesses and kits. I did purchase a wiring harness for the light bar I am about to install.

From my understanding I need to run a 10 gauge wire from my battery to my BATT post in order to get power to that post. I did notice on one of the kits that there is a fuse on the wire, is that something I need to put on the wire from the battery to the BATT post, if so how big?

I also read somewhere that 10 gauge wasn’t big enough and that I needed to upgrade the wire on the ground post??

The only accessories that I am planning to add is the light bar, two lower spot lights at the bottom of the windshield, two rear flood lights, and a winch. So do I need to upgrade anything else?

I have searched all over youtube for a video that can help, but have not been successful. The forums have been helpful though!

I am sorry if this has been posted before, but I haven’t been able to find it anywhere!

Thanks for all the wisdom you guys can share!!
