How many self tapping screws hold the front and rear factory kid plates on? I think I am missing some.

I have a 2015 XP 1000 with about 300 miles and had a knocking start in the primary Friday morning at a trip to brimstone. I pulled the cover to make sure nothing was hitting it and it didn’t change anything. The knocking only occurs at idle and goes away as soon as you give it a little throttle. There was also no change in performance or clutch engagement. Any ideas on what is causing it?

Hey guys the engine on my 2015 xp1k is cutting out pretty bad at 60mph and will not go any faster. To me its acting like its governed. Has anyone have or heard of this problem?

Thanks in advance for your patience, I have spent most of this weekend researching paddle tires on this forum and only been able to find snip-its here and there for the 2-seater, but the 4 seater has a 56 page discussion on paddle tire setups.

Is there a master thread for paddle setups that I missed? If so, please provide me the link.

I understand that the STU is arguably the best tire and then the Skats, but I am looking at more affordable options since sand isn’t the only thing I ride. I have been focused on the GMZ Strippers HP Full Paddle 28in which is a 14 paddle. And the new Pro Armor 30" paddles. which is a 16 paddle
**EDIT** — Pro Armor put a typo in description. Looks like it is actually a 14 paddle tire as well.

Any input on this new Pro Armor paddle yet??

Are people running stock clutches with paddles or should I buy an aftermarket clutch first?

is polaris planning on coming out with a half year model on the xp 1000. just wondering why they have rebates on current year models and only have two available colors, or are they just not selling now that the turbo is out.

Trying to change my carrier barring, is there a trick to getting the center slip yoke appart? I know it has to separate to get the old carrier barring pieces off. Any tips would be supper appericeated.

Had the famous Voltage regulator meltdown and replace it with one from Ricks. Got the long cable model an mounted it on the brace behind the fan up front, seems to work great with constant readings from 13.2-13.8 on the one hunting trip it went on. Went to start it friday and the batt was dead, put the charger on the batt until sun AM and it barely cranked but fired. I let it run only about 10 mi to move it around in the Garage and it would not restart?
What would replacing the VR have done to kill the batt? Any other thoughts?

I was digging around looking for spare axles to keep in the trailer just in case and noticed 2014,2015 and 2016 all have different part numbers. is there a difference ? Are they interchangeable. I found a place that has takeouts reasonably priced but they are from 15-16’s and mine is a 14 . Anyone know absolutely for sure?

Put 30miles on it for the first ride at a a friend’s track/trails. Currently has a bunch of Polaris accessories, roof, front and rear bumpers, LED light bar, rock sliders, rear window net, and intrusion bar. Going to add harnesses, door bottoms, window nets, and winch as soon and funds allow. I’m in upstate NY and still finding out about places to ride. Any riding locations or equipment suggestions would be appreciated. Can’t wait to get back out and rip!
