Brake fluid question

I heard the Polaris brand DOT4 brake fluid is the only kind that should be used in the XP1000. Is this true? I am bleeding the brakes today and the only DOT4 brake fluid the shop had was Maxima and they said that will work for the RZR.

I am also going to change other fluids in my XP1000, and am wondering what is the BEST stuff to get. For coolant I’m thinking Engine Ice. Front/rear differential oils I’m thinking the specified type from Amsoil or Lucas oil. And engine oil I’m thinking Amsoil…
Let me know if these are good to use in the 1000, what would work better, or if the Polaris brand fluids are what I should use instead.

XP1K Stock Front Wheels on Rear with 28x10x14 Cutthroats?

I was thinking about getting a set of stock XP1K front wheels for the rear and run 28x10x14 tires all the way around. I know they would be fine if the wheels were 7" wide like most aftermarket wheels but since they are only 6" I’m not sure about it. Anybody doing this or have any pics? I’ve searched and can’t find anything.

I am running 30" Kahunas on beadlocks all the way around now. Just wanting to get a narrow setup to race some cross country.

NEW RZR 1000 front sway bar kit available

Hello everyone.

We would like to let everyone know that our new, highly tested, front anti sway bars are in stock and ready to ship. This front sway bar system is completely BOLT ON. No welding at all. It is infinitely adjustable with 3 settings on the bar itself as well as moving the arm clamp up and down the arm for fine tuning too. We have over 2500 miles on this system in desert, rock and dune conditions. This does not count the many short course and desert races this system has seen on multiple race team’s UTV’s. If you would like to eliminate the front end sway and dive when cornering then this is for you.

Some of the advantages are:

Completely bolt on
High clearance billet clamp system
Less front end body roll
More high speed stability
Higher corner speeds
Four wheel drifts in the right terrain
Less tendency to pick the inside, rear tire off the ground in a turn
Faster lap times
Beat your friends!

Negatives:

Less suspension independence in serious rock crawling
In this scenario we recommend disconnecting a sway bar link for the day and re-attach it when your done.

Installation of this kit takes about one hour and is easy to do. Currently, only some of the winch kits available fit with this sway bar system but we will have a universal winch plate that you can use with this sway bar kit to attach any winch you may already have. We will have lower arm billet clamps available for Lone Star and other long travel kits very soon. The complete kit cost is $650. This is right in the middle of the other front bar systems out there but there is no WELDING, front bumpers or clearance issues to deal with in this system. BOLT ON. Thank you for your patients with us bringing this to market. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have racing it. If you have any questions PM or call us any time. Thank you.
