My first post here as trying to get some answers;
Here’s the long story short:
New to the side by side world. I am contemplating to get one soon for several reasons, currently i am building a buggy and don’t see myself finishing it in the next 4 to 5 years. The most important reason is that my 10 year old digs the crawling sport and looking forward for me to finish the project so we can hit the trails, but there goes that idea. I have promised him if he improves with school grades (huge struggle for him but really kick but this year) I will buy one so we can both enjoy it. Well my time has come !

The biggest dilemma I have is (from reading) is that used ones have more than 1500 miles requiring a complete overhaul including engine work. I sort of know the answer to this, but is it really worth buying a used RZR (fix it and upgrade) vs buying a new one so I can go out and play?
I don’t mind fixing small things, just trying to do the right math as (again) don’t know much about the side by sides!
In advance, sorry if this already had been posted, but need some feedback !
I already started fixing my trailer and getting a new registration, when school is over, want to surprise him when I open the garage !

The engine cuts out and comes back on when you hold the throttle at 50km/h. It’s acting like its a relay opening and closing.

If you accelerate it doesn’t do it. I also thought that gas consumption has doubled. To verify I will have to fuel up. The gauge shows way lower than weve ever seen it with three bars left on it and only 80km driven.

What would cause this? Anyone else seen this before?

Hello guys! im the proud owner of my first RZR. I just bought a 2015 xp1k voodoo. im from saskatchewan Canada and Im completely new to sxs/quads. Ive never owned either one and know virtually nothing about them. Im probably going to ask questions that have probably already been answered a 100x if someone can point me to a previous post for guidance that would be great.

1) im curious about what the first things I should and should not be doing to my new buggy. Its going to be riden about 50/50 trail and mud.
2) Im currently looking at the viper elite 4500lbs synthetic winch. anyone got any experience with them?
3) Anyone know of a post or got a personal list of must have tools and equipment everyone should have with them when riding?

I’d like to get some ideas on cleaning the 2015 RZR XP 1000! Like what not to get wet. How to clean dash and switch area. Black plastic polish? All cleaning tips, tricks, products!
