What do you take on the trails?

First time posting on here. Just bought a new 2014 xp1000 in February and I love it! We are heading to Wolfpen Gap in a few weeks for our first big rzr trip and I’m curious to what everyone takes out on the trails with them as far as spare parts, tools, gear, etc… Also do you recommend a winch or spare tire to take also?

Thanks for the help

Wheel Bearings

How long of a life are people typically getting out of their front wheel bearings? I just checked mine yesterday and both fronts are bad at 50 miles. I am running a 32" tire but that seems off. 50 miles on bearings and they are already shot. Im not a hard rider. All my riding is normally slow speed technical mud/trail riding with some water. Nothing crazy. Any input would be appreciated.

Lower doors

So I went and bought polaris lower doors for my machine and took it out for the first ride and smashed one of the lower doors on a small log that was sticking out. I guess I was just use to my pro armour full door on my older 2013 900. I don’t want to go to a full door because of price if I don’t have to but is there a good rugged lower door out there that will take a little abuse?

Pit Bull 30x10x15 Growler DOT Legal in stock

$198 each plus shipping. I can mount them on 15" Raceline beadlocks if needed for an additional cost.

DOT Legal, super grippy. Great everywhere. They were used at KOH by a few teams(including myself) without any flats. I’ve desert raced, rock raced, and short coursed on the same set, plus put a few hundred street miles on them. Worked well in Moab, in California, here in Colorado, on a variety of surfaces. They are simply awesome tires. Nothing else is really comparable, but then again, if you’re reading this, you probably know that. :ride::ride::ride:

They are 44 lbs each, and measure a true 30". Nearly an inch taller than most other 30" tires on the market. This specific tire is 100% USA made.

These tires are hard to come by because of the waiting list at Pit Bull, and the limited number of dealers allowed to sell this tire.

Somehow I eeked out a few extra sets. If you’re interested send me a PM or call us, 303-400-0205. You can pick up locally in Denver to save shipping but I would have to charge sales tax

Here is a photo of a RZR with them I borrowed from Pit Bull’s facebook:

Finally broke my belt

Original stock belt finally let go at 1012 miles, I lost. My friends belt is still running with 1030 miles on it. Neither of us rock crawl and one day at glamis on these, basically all high speed desert. Mine probably let go because I am setting the car up to race BITD and it now weighs over 1800lbs. No slow poking all fast desert

How many miles on your stock belts? lets here the stories

XP1K mpg

…..i’m always asked "what kind of miles per gallon or range are you getting in the XP1K?"……so after last weekends 105.9 mile ride, we were reading 4-squares used, 4-squares remaining on the fuel indicator…..when i did look down at the speedometer, we were averaging 30-40mph…here’s a sample from our trail ride and speed…..
