RZR 1000XP Engine Serial Number.

Hello all

Just bought a beautiful beast "RZR 1000 XP 2014" from Polaris’ dealers in Egypt

The egyptian gov. requires a stamped VIN and a stamped Engine Serial number to proceed and register the vehicle to my name and gives me the plates

However I can’t find a stamped Serial number on the engine casing nor on the block which is a big hassle for me.. Any ideas?

Please help!!

STM rage 3 vs rage 6

I realize there is probably a thread about this somewhere but I couldn’t find it through a search.

What are the major differences between the rage 3 and rage 6 clutches? In particular, what are the limiting factors of the rage 3? ie – it will not work as well with larger tires or it won’t work with higher horsepower? Or could it handle one of those things but not the other?

I’m having difficulty finding detailed info in regards to these questions. Any info or links would be appreciated.

What was I thinking

So on March 22/2015 I bought a 900s. With great excitement and joy, I couldn’t wait to take it out. So after the first 5 rides I was pretty impressed with the machine until. Boom 2 rims get destroyed, a brake caliper blows apart, then wheel bearings. At this point I was a bit pissy and the fact my buddies old 2006 700 quad was spanking me in races. So I added 14" rims and 30" rubbers with a highlifter kit,and an epi clutch kit. Thought hey might help out with rocks in the rims etc and the kit should help me retain most of my power. Wow was I wrong I mean dead wrong, I went from topping out at 70 mph down to 50mph. And the lack of low end take off was even worse, I mean fuck I couldn’t even spin the tires in high anymore. So as of yesterday I traded that 900s POS off and got a 2015 1k vodoo blue. Let me tell u I am so happy I did the 1k is amazing fast and so much more comfortable. The suspension feels like Ur in a trophy truck just floating threw everything, I put on 240km today and just wow love it. I could never do that in the 900s it would beat u to death. So all I can say is fuck ya 1k and pissy on the 900s.

Tomorrow’s Ride RUINED

Today I was getting the RZR 1000 ready for Carolina Adventure World and noticed a lot of vibration and knocking. I took off the console to find the drive shaft shaking all over the place. The center drive shaft support bearing is bad. No where is open around here that carries one. Tomorrow is Sunday and no where will be open to go buy one. Looks like I could buy one for about $50 or I have the choice of taking it in to the shop and let them do it. Are these covered by warranty? I only have 390miles on this machine and it’s already bad.

Does advance auto parts carry something like this?
Where can I get one that is going to last?

Easy swap? Should I just do it myself or go try under warranty?

Error code 520209 help..

Just got my 2015 HLE back from the dealership after a complete motor rebuild. That’s another story for another thread. Connecting rod bearing failed. Just driving around the house to break it in and am getting chk engine. 520209. Does anybody know what this code means? I saw a thread that mentioned Oxygen sensor heater 1 error.. I’m reluctant to take it back to the dealership as they had it for more than 2 months for the motor warranty. I checked the sensor wires and they seem OK.. It seems to be running fine.. Any help is appreciated..
