Shock Fitment Question

Will the shocks from a XP4 fit on a XP1000 2 door. I realize the springs are rated different but are the physical dimensions the same(length)? The shock bodies also have different part numbers so the internals may be different also. What would be the pros and cons of switching to the xp4 shocks?

does low gear have a different rev limit?

driving real slow, building rpms, my 2015 will start banging out at 7800, even floored in low, 8000rpm is tops……is this normal. top speed? no clue, I don’t have anywhere to ride long enough to hit speed, at 70 my rpm is 8400 yet it seems to struggle and almost sounds/feels like it starts loosing power at 8400rpm around 70mph I have about 150 miles. stock tires, very few add-ons

Blue Smoke on start up

I have a 2015 desert edition it had about 75 miles on it. When left for several hours and then started a large puff of burnt oil smoke comes out of the tail pipe. It smokes for 1-2 seconds and the disapates. I have not noticed it when driving and getting into the throttle. It is currently at the dealer but nothing has been done, they tried to claim it was normal however burning oil is never normal. I told them this and pointed out they should check every xp1000 on the lot to compare. That stopped the normal talk. I have had to push them every step of the wAy to get them to troubleshoot the issue. I was hoping someone on here could point me in the direction of the gentleman that has some influence on dealers and Polaris so I could possible get some progress made.

Polaris Full Windshield – What side mirrors ?

My Polaris (XP1K HLE) windshield has hard plastic retainer strips down both sides of the front roll cage tubes the full window sides up and down on. Most all side mirrors attach to the roll cage with a mount which the retainer blocks. Has anyone figured out a solution to mounting the side mirror with this windshield?

Im tired of feeling like im in a crock pot when driving my commander and seriously considering either a xp 1000 or a high lifter Im in southern Tennessee and ride rocks and trails but avoid mud when possible. I have spent many hours reading on here and one of my questions is, what is the difference in gear ratio in the HLE? If i run 30 inch tires on an XP will I be close to same ratio as a HLE with 32 inch tires? I have looked at both models and the way I have it figured with the HLE I will be spending about 3k on accessories real quick with tires, wheels,windshield,custom roof. The xp is 2k cheaper including lower door windshield and cheap roof……but will need winch and bumpers…..I will never need the deep water capabilities of the HLE but the gear ratio and the heavier chain have me intrigued…..What is your opinion? How much heat is transferred to cab from the motor in these machines, Has to be alot less than the cannedham…..Thanks for any input.
