So far I’ve replaced both Rear axles, all 4 wheel bearings, carrier bearing, ball joints upper/lower, tie rods inside/outside both sides, brakes all around. It’s a 14 2 seated.
When I hit about 30 im getting a noise sounds almost like a piece of dirt on a caliper but isn’t coming from there. The noise goes away when I hit my brakes. Almost sounds like its coming from the differential area. Any ideas what could be causing it or is the something behind the belt cover that could be the culprit. I haven’t pulled the cover yet cause I’ve never messed with belts before. I don’t know what I’ll be looking for anyway. This thing is driving me cwazy!! Thanks fellers!
Took my RZR in for first service at 12.5 hours and 260 miles a bit early I know but I like to get the first oil change out of the way early I don’t subscribe to the Polaris break in method! All was well well but I see in the tech notes that the "tranny fluid looks bad!" Anyone else have this comment on first service? Should I be concerned, or thankful I boought the extended warranty?
My Dalton clutch kit has performed great up until about 500 miles ago. I have about 4000 miles on the clutch kit and 4500 total on the RZR. Most of the riding is medium speed trails with occasional dunes and rock crawling. Recently it started feeling like the clutch was slipping at full throttle. It would climb in RPM until it hit the rev limiter and then when you back off the throttle the RPM would go down but the vehicle would accelerate. I pulled the secondary and one roller had a flat spot. I replaced all the rollers (drive and helix). Still had the issue. I pulled the primary and found some severe groves in the tip area of the weights (see picture). This area I believe contacts the rollers in the weight heel area when the clutch is not fully engaged. The primary rollers look good with no flat spots or other visible damage. After describing the damage the answer I got back was the primary is only good for about 3000 miles and needs to be replaced. Also the replacement cost for the Dalton weighs if $280. Anyone know what caused this damage? Can I grind out these groves or is the curvature of the heel in the weights critical? Is the primary really only good for 3000 miles? Does the Dalton kit wear out your primary prematurely?

I have 2 rzr1000’s and 1 rzr1000xp4 sitting in my shop. All 3 are 2015 models. All 3 purchased from different dealers with many months separating build dates. All 3 have the same noise from the front drive shaft. At About 30mph the noise is very bad. The noise is not normal and will cause damage. Beware to those who think it is normal or think they don’t have the noise. I have been in dozens of rzr1000’s and they all have the driveshaft noise. Most people don’t even realize it. I’ve read posts that say it might be shock noise, which is ridiculous. To prove that it is the front drive shaft, we have removed the front shaft on all 3 machines and poof the noise is gone. This is typical Polaris quality. The front drive shaft design is a failure. They are out of phase and out of balance. Dealers say it is normal or not covered under warranty. Legal action is the only option. The good news is the rzr1000 is still an unbelievable machine in 2wd.
