New XP1K owner over here!

I took a personal business day off from work today, and started hitting the dealerships.

In the end, I took home a red 2015 XP1K. I-5 Sports in Albany treated me very well, so I went ahead and bought the Polaris bumper and aluminum roof from them. Let’s just say that I’m not a fan of Polaris OEM accessories. I had to "fit" the roof. The instructions were missing pages too. :cussing:

I made sure to test drive the car first, and it had no indication of the front diff noise or driveline vibration. :icon_rockwoot:

I can’t wait to get out and put some miles on this car.

Fuel gauge off a bit

I have filled my 1k to the brim and the gauge still reads 7/8 of a tank. I even put it on a slight hill sideways and burped it a bit and it’s still the same. Anyone seen this before?

Picked up a 15′ 1000

I picked up a 15′ for a good deal, so far so good, none of the weird noises expect for the heat shield rattling, which I fixed lol. Drivetrain is noise free 🙂 I do have a question, what is the best recommendation on springs/shock revalve, I think it would really benefit from it.

Prospective 2015 XP1000 owner has a few questions…

Hello all. I am days away from pulling the trigger on a closeout 2015 XP1000, and I have a few questions.

1) Are all of the 2015 XP1000s afflicted with the front drive line noise issue, or did Polaris figure out a fix mid-season. The only cars the dealer would let us drive were 2016s. Are there any other issues I need to know about?

2) What’s everyone running for front bumpers, and how do you like them? I’m conflicted with the front bumper choices. I would like to add a winch down the road, but I don’t like the bumpers that mount them in front of the grill. I frequently ride in the high-desert (100 degrees+) and I’d rather not hamper the cooling system by blocking airflow. I see some stand-alone winch mounts, but I don’t know what works with which bumper. Anyone care to share their set-up?

3) Is anyone running the Tusk Rear Bumper, Cargo Rack, and Spare Tire Carrier combo? It seems like a good deal for $300, but I’d like to hear from someone who is actually running this on their XP1K. Does it interfere with mounting an aluminum roof?

4) Speaking of aluminum roofs, what’s the consensus here? Is there one roof that stands out as being superior to all of the others?

I know that I’ve asked quite a few questions, but I don’t have a whole lot of time to scour the internet. I appreciate any and all advice. Thanks.

clutcH tools.

So after 800 miles my 2014 won’t run over 55 and it’s hitting the Rev limiter. So I guess I’m going to tear into it. First I’m going to ask my dealer if he can help me out, no harm in trying. I’ve already bought a new belt what else do I need to look at? If I need special tools ,is there someone here that would loan me them rather than buy? If any one has some suggestions I’m all ears..
