Can somebody explain the limiter thing to me, I’m under the impression that at 8300 rpm it kicks in. I am able to hit 8700+ on the open road and 9000+ standing still in neutral, the only limiting effect I can tell is on an open run around 70 mph @ 8450 rpm the motor all of a sudden doesn’t sound healthy but there doesn’t appear to be any kind of a system shut down or slowdown, in fact it will still accelerate to about 75 mph.
Is the limiter based on rpm or speed or both? Is it bad for the motor to run at 70+ mph and 8450 rpm?
I dropped $142 on a pair of Seizmik mirrors and installed them last night.
Then my wife noticed that one mirror was sitting higher than the other, despite the fact that both mounts were touching the the same spot on the cage.
It appears as though the mirrors are exactly the same, but one has the name plate opposite (upside down) in order to make "left" and "right" mirrors.
In order for the mirrors to be the same height, one has to be mounted slightly lower (or higher) than the other. I know I’m a bit of a stickler, but I expected more for $142…

Radiator is clean. Fan in fact works. Is the water pump impeller plastic on these bikes? If so I’ve got close to 1000 miles and 200 hours on it. Is it time to change the water pump?
I’m having problems with front a-arms and want to replace them with aftermarket. Anyone know of a pair that are indestructible or a company with a lift time gaurantee? I used to buy my suspensions from Lone Star Racing back in the day for my honda atvs and they do not offer the guarantee on the UTV a-arms.
