As the tittle says…. rear differential pinion nut backed off going down a trail this weekend and busted my case. thank god I just fixed my front differential and had 4wd to make it home with. Anyone holding a rear diff or know were i can get one for a decent price?
Can’t figure it out. Goes to 204 fan comes on but will only drop to 199-200. Ran a constant 204 the other day for an entire ride in 99 degree weather. Radiator is full. System is not air locked and the fan comes on but will never go off until I let it idle and it seems to drop really slowly. Not plugged with mud either. Could the thermostat be malfunctioning and not opening completely? I’m at a loss.
So i just got a 2009 RZR 800 S about 6 months ago, i love it! But it recently started giving me some idle/stalling issues. It all began 1month ago on our honeymoon in Moab Utah. RPM dropped down to between 750-850. I would seem worse the longer you ride, and eventually at Idle the RPM would get so low that it stalls. Took it to a shop down there, they checked TPS, cleaned air filter, checked fuel pressure – 38 PSI, tightened a loose spark plug and charged battery. The next day it started around 950RPM then dropped again. Since then i replaced spark plugs with NGK, replaced battery with Odyseey PC925, and taken it to Polaris. Polaris couldn’t figure it out until i suggested disconnecting the DynoPro power commander 3, with it disconnected RPM climbed to 1060RPM.
I thought it was fixed, went riding today, started out great, then within an hour RPM dropped into 800s, then 700s and started stalling at idle and became hard to restart without throttle.
Any ideas? Maybe TPS is bad? Fuel pump giving issues when hot? Belt?
Unfortunately while wheeling in Colorado last week I busted a rear upper control arm and bent the lower arm. Does anyone make a good aftermarket upper arm? I have found several lowers but no uppers. Really didn’t want to go back stock. Want something a little stronger. I will probably go with high lifter lower arms. I have a 2011 8004s, I assume the suspension is the same as a two seat 800s.
I was rewiring some light today and in the process of hooking my battery back up to the positive post, the cable slipped out of my hand and hit the ECM causing a big spark. The cable only touched for an instant. Now it won’t start. It turned over a few times, then just quit. The check engine icon is on and I cant get it to display any codes. I checked all the fuses and even went as far as replacing them with new ones. The ECM relay just hums and buzzes when I try to start it now. Checked the battery voltage. 12.7 volts. Battery is about a month old. Any ideas???? Can I get my ECM tested without having to drag my RZR to the stealership? Can I buy a used one without having to get it programmed? If I have to buy a new one, does it have to be on the RZR to be programmed? HELP!!!!!!!!:question::question:
I have full aluminum skids while doing some minor repairs and thorough cleaning I found my skid is bent up to and is wearing on transmission. The drain plug is etched into the skid I have a leak somewhere I cleaned up real good tonight and will check tomorrow for location of leak. Seems like I have read about this problem before but can’t find the thread. Any ideas on what I’m looking at before I start tearing a down to fix?
Our 09 800S’ speedometer isn’t working, but have all other functions on the speedo except miles. Thought I had bad female connector on speed sensor, but still no-go after replacing pins. I’ve checked all other obvious connections on back of speedo and along the harness and all looks good. Also, no codes. Wouldn’t a bad VSS code out? Things point to a bad VSS, but I hate R&R troubleshooting!
