My valve cover used to leak a little bit of oil. Now it leaks a lot.
I removed the bed and checked to see if the bolts were only finger-tight like some people reported, but nope, that was not the case. So I have ordered a new gasket.
I guess some people sanded down the cover a little, because the channel is too deep? That sounds scary, if I don’t get it flat. But I guess if it makes the gasket stick out more, it wouldn’t need to be 100% flat, right? I wonder how much a machine shop would want to do that for me. Do you think that would be a good idea?
Am I in for any other surprises with this? Is it just a matter of removing the cover, cleaning things up, putting a new gasket in, and putting the cover back on?
I think I’ll replace the spark plugs while I’m at it. I have 4000 miles, don’t want to take the bed off more often than I have to.
Anything else easy to do that I should look at while I have the bed off?

Took my son’s rzrs to local mechanic to have coolant changed and after we got it home he took it for a test ride and now it totally bogs down. He states that even giving it full throttle it will only go about 15mph. What could the mechanic possibly have done wrong? It seemed like a simple job to screw up so badly and I definitely don’t want to return to him to fix it. Anyone have any ideas?

2010 rzr 800 s. Have a vibration when you go over 2000 rpms. Tried to eliminate some common issues. Replaced the motor mounts, taken off belt to see if it was the secondary, took off the primary clutch to see if it was the clutch.
Still have the same issue. Anyone have any ideas on what to do next?

Hi I’m new to this forum and am going to buy a rzr 800s, it has 9000 miles on it, what should I be looking at?, is it worn out? I took it for a ride and seemed to ride good, what’s the "life expectancy" of a motor in one of these?
Thanks for your in out.

Hey guys, while installing a set of SATV A-arms on my 2009 800S I noticed that the inside CV boot was torn and slinging grease. Figured I’d pull the axle and install a boot kit I picked up from local dealer. All the YouTube videos I found said just give the axle a sharp yank and it’ll disengage from the front diff. I yanked hard enough to pull the machine off the jack stand, but axle will not come loose. Looking at the half shaft schematic on the official Polaris parts website it looks like there might be a circlip INSIDE of the CV joint? So…how in the world do I get that axle off??? Thanks!
