I remember at one time this RZR S thread was "THE" place to be and had ALL the excitement. Now with the 900’s, 1000’s & Turbo’s, it feeling a bit like a ghost town. BUT, I would not trade mine for either one cause it has plenty power, is reliable, and does what I bought it to do. So, "All hail to the RZR S". LOL:pepper1:

First Big Ride, looking for a Second SxS

Went on a 50 mile ride from Prescott to Crown King AZ in our 09 800S. It was the first ride for us. We had a 4 seater 1000XP in the group that my wife got ride in. She said it had a big difference in ride over our 800s. We are looking for a second SxS, but the 1000 is not in our price point yet. Is the 900xp worth the extra $1500 for used one over another S?
One question on the 800 when coming down steep hills. It seems to go into neutral and thought I could smell burnt rubber. Did I harm belt? How do you drive them going down steep hills like that? Feather the throttle? It’s OK to let it do that? Or?

Water keeps getting in rear part of transmission – 2012 RZR-S 800.

2012 RZR-S 800: I sealed the clutch back cover, snorkeled it, ran 4 vent lines (front & rear diff., transfer case/transmission, and fuel tank) up high.

It has worked great going deep – a little more than belly button deep.

Changed all oils as was sick to see the milky white with just a tint of blue oil flow out of the "fill" plug on the transmission side, towards the rear. I pulled the fill plug before pulling the bottom drain.

Filled it, ran it a little, and changed again.

I can lightly blow on its vent line and their is no leak in the newly run vent line.

Where is the water getting in??

Did I miss a vent line? Is there one for the transfer case and one for the transmission?
