Valve Shim Video?

Anyone have a video on replacing the valve shims?

I have a cold start issue and rough idle. Starts and runs fine when warm. Have notices a little smoke when cold and can smell exhaust when its warm but don’t see any smoke when warm. Engine was completely rebuilt about 1200 miles ago and I run a UMP filter system. I have no dust or dirt past the UMP canister. I did replace the cam chain tensioner with an Alba manual one and that stopped the chain slap I had.

I’m thinking I need to adjust the valves.

2013 900 XP engine replacement

Does anyone sell 900 engines that are already modified/rebuilt? Instead of pulling my engine and sending it out to be worked on I’d like to investigate buying one already modified and then pull mine and put the new one in. Then sending mine off for a core refund. I realize the core refund would vary based on what’s not damaged in mine.

well it happened–engine locked up

Ill start by say i adjusted my clutch the other day and i took it out today and about 5 miles from the house she started to over heat 220 and it died, restarted with no prob–let it cool down started back to the house and started to over heat again and felt like something was holding rzr back. well i shut it off before i new it it was 230 and climbed to past 240 with engine off(yes i know an engine temp will cont to rise after shut off) well told my bro in the other trusty ol 800 to go home and get the trailer. while i pull it on the trailer i heard what i thought was a know but coming from clutch side so i dismissed it for now and loaded rzr onto trailer. Got it home and took clutch cover off and swore it was the clutch as engine rzr smooth at idle. Gave it some gas and it died, restarted gave gas and died this time would not turn over but weird knock sound that i thought was the clutch primary went away right before she locked up.So the quick tear down revealed that tit on top of the valve cover that goes to oil tank had broken off(hmmmm). pulled valve cover,did not notice anything weird. pulled cams nothing weird there either except a very very minor amount of scoring on cams, about the same when i pulled original cams( nothing a little quick clean up couldn’t solve). next on agenda was to pull primary cover and see if famous starter problem happened, nope, and this is where i stopped for the night.oh and i had oil pressure about 8 at idle and normal when running down the road. Oh and i drained oil from pan only so far and it did have a metallic sheen to it.i thiuk i locked the crank but not 100% sure yet.

any opinions or thoughts guys?

Have not yet decided to rebuild, buy used or put a 1k motor in yet.

Throttle Body, Throttle Position Sensor

So,I have a 2013 Rzr 900 xp. It’s at the shop and they are telling me it has a bad throttle position sensor. Unfortunately it’s fixed to the throttle body. From what I can tell my only option is to replace the entire body.. Which is 700! Anyone have any thoughts?

2013 xp900 blown motor need help

I need to find out how to remove the motor and what tools do i need. I want to rebuild it myself but dont want to make a mistake when i take it out that will cost me more problems later.

Lost keys

Ok so ask me how i dont know but i lost my keys to my 2015 900s any suggestions how to get another key or something i had a night ride planned tonight and now im screwed
