Help… Timing Chain jumped a Tooth?

Life has been so busy I really haven’t had much time for anything the last 2 months. I’m having a hard start problem when cold. If I hold the pedal down it will start but die if I let off. If I keep it on for about 2 min it will hold when I let off. At first I was thinking possible valve shim issue but as I explore it almost sounds like I may have jumped a tooth. Mine is a 2012 900xp and the manual I have is for a 2011. Is there a difference for lining up the cams? I am going to pull the bed and valve cover off this week and just want to make sure what I’m looking at per the 2011 manual is correct. If there is a difference between the 11 and 12 some insight would be helpful.

Crank seal problems

Hello all. Im at a loss here. I have a 2015 RZR S 900. First crank seal blew at about 200 miles. I pulled the motor and took it to the dealer.
They replaced the seal and said everything looked ok. Just had to be a defective seal. Went riding, about 20 miles in, seal blew again. Not wanting
to pull the motor again, a friend of mine machined the lip off of a factory seal. I pressed it in and let it run for about 2 minutes then noticed
the seal pushing out on the left side. Once it pushed out, oil poured out as if it was under pressure. So just thinking that the rotating of the shaft was
pushing the seal out we cut out a plate to hold the seal in and tapped it into the crank case. started it back up and ran for about 30 minutes revving it up
periodically and no leak. Reinstalled belt box and went riding. Well a few hours in guess what, leaking again. I chalked the first seal up as just bein a
defective seal. The 2nd one, wasnt sure but now on the 3rd, im convinced something isnt right. maybe they plugged an oil passage off with silicone on accident or something. I was looking at the oil flow chart in the service manual and noticed that oil goes in behind the seal and is suppose to drain back into the sump. So my thinking is the passage goin to the sump is partially if not completely blocked off allowing oil to collect behind seal until it cant take it anymore and bam, out the seal. My crankcase breather is not pinched or blocked off. Oil is factory polaris oil. Is there a way to possibly stick a small pipe cleaner through the passage and see if its clogged. I really dont want to take motor out again. any ideas?

Billet cams?

Is anyone building billet cams for the 900? I’m running popo H.O. cams right now, but my eng wants more! I had regrinds in my turbo eng & when they took a crap they took out my eng, so I’m not a big fan of the regrind! When we built my eng last time we did all the oil mods to prioritize the cams but I’m scared if I get bad re grinds it’s another eng!

2012 900xp thru bolts engine tranny

I was wondering if anyone else has used m12x1.75x200mm and m12x1.75x260mm bolts for the 2012 900xp thru bolts for the engine & tranny? As I know the stocks are m12x1.5x200mm and m12x1.75x253mm for the stock ones. As anyone knows u can buy factory ones for 35-40 a pop but can get the other for around 10.00 each. can get thru Fastenal
