Decisions, decisions

Hey guy/gals I am currently having a hard time making a choice. I am working with a couple different dealers to get the best deal I can. I am looking to trade my boat for a side by side and a 570 sportsman. One dealer has a couple left over rzr’s that he is offering some decent deals for. One is a 2014 rzr 800 xc. The other is a 2013 900 xp. Both are brand new units with 0 miles and full warranty. I really like the 2015 900 rzr’s though. The other dealer is trying to work something out for a 2015 900 trail and a 570 sportsman with eps for my wife to use when our daughter is riding with me in the sxs. Any input to help make this decision easier would be awesome.
Really what i am asking I guess is if the 900 is a no brainer over the 800 xc. I should mention the 800 xc is currently decked out with tracks and a few trail friendly accessories but I wouldn’t likely keep them and go with aftermarket stuff instead.

Making the Polaris Heater Blow Both Defrost and Floor

I just bought a 2015 RZR Sunset Red EPS 50" Trail. Very excited to get it back from the dealer with the accessories installed.

The Polaris heater unit (2880534) doesn’t look like the picture in the Polaris accessory catalog. The new heater unit only blows one direction – onto the windshield for defrost. I’ve been told that some people have reversed the connections to the heater fan permanently to make the heater blow air down onto the floor which is a much more effective way of heating the occupants.

One modification I am working on is to install a dash switch (a basic on-off rocker switch) to controllably reverse the polarity to the fan on this unit. This will work by using a SPDT relay to each of the two fan wires. Assuming this works properly, my dash switch will control the direction of airflow – up is windshield defrost, and down is floor heat.

Has anyone else done this?

Brake light staying on

I’ve been having a issue with my brake lights not going out while the key is on. Motor running, or not.

Thinking it was the brake switch I unhooked it. The lights still didn’t go out. It’s causing the motor to go to limp mode.

I just got it back from the dealer for a speedo sensor issue. I really didn’t want to take it back again. I posted about it on a Facebook group. Someone said to check the key switch. It gets corrosion and causes the lights to stay on. And that’s what I found.

Cleaned it up and brake lights went out. Figured this would be a good thing to know for everyone.
