I bought a POPO 1/2 shield with my machine… used it sum total of ONE DAY!
Ya see, it SUX in the dust and seems its ALWAYS dusty! (As many know already) I was not prepared to stop at every stream and remove rinse and wash it.
BUT sometimes you just NEED one! SO I figured if its used very infrequently, a FULL shield is best. Costs running over 300, I decided to make one!
My thoughts where to go with a thick 3/8" Lexan. But last two weeks have had me too busy to acquire the Lexan. Lowes had some polycarbonate in 1/4" and I could a perfect 1/4" Aluminum channel I’ll use as a stiffener. This along with the four clamps harvested form the 1/2 shield.
I went simple and square, so my dimensions where 24×42". I positioned the QD mounts as I figured they would best support the "glass". This size will allow the top to "seal" along a lit at the roof line and just touch to highest point on the "hood". Yes, there is a gap on each side at the bottom. So its NOT a weather tite setup.
I measured and lopped off the corners for a better fit. I installed 1/4" "Double D" rubber molding along the top. I cut the "C" Channel to 42" and using white silicone, attached it to the bottom of the "glass". Now I could have trimmed the top edge of the "glass to 40" and tapered the sides for a nicer fit. But this would be a more difficult cut and aside for ascetics, shouldn’t make any difference.
Once cut, I installed it on the RZR and marked the holes for drilling. One note on this. DRILL SLOWLY with MINIMAL pressure. to avoid splinter and cracking. :ok:
Lastly, I sanded all the edges nice and smooth.
All accomplished in about one hour, one beer all while under the supervision of my lil girl.
I went out riding and when I stopped and turned my key the electrical brake system sounded like it was tapping anyone know anything about this or what it could be.. The bike runs and drives just fine
To help protect the shafts on my Bandit shocks since we ride in a rocky area.No one makes them for a 2.0 that I could find so I drew some up cut them out powdercoated them and used Lexan (polycarbonate) tube that is 3 3/4"id to make the guards.
Just put mine on , pretty
good looking.
will follow up, with more soon.
waiting to put last bolt in , got to make sure that the door is adjusted right.

Got a 2015 900xc, and want to change the wheels out, Having a problem, finding the correct back spacing, rear rims are 4+4, and the fronts are 4+3, any ideas ?
Just wondering if anyone else has checked their fuse box latley ? Mine has been water filled since the day I got it in the water. I took the stupid rubber things out and filled it full of of silicone. also the small holes where the rubber seal goes. it still gets water in it to. I feel its coming in thru the cover and down thru the seal. anyone else having an issue ? I got it warrantied thru the dealer but dont want anymore issues. any suggestions
We took a trip to windrock this weekend, and put over 250 miles on the 900. I noticed that when the suspension was flexing there was a popping noise coming from the front and rear. Has anyone else had this problem? And does anyone think it could be the sway bay end links? I know it’s not a broke axle, definatley had my share of those, but just looking for advice! I’m new to the sxs riding
Was at the Dealership the other day and they had a 2016 Polaris RZR 900 S EPS. I took a look at the voltage regulator and it has been changed for 2016. They must know somethings wrong with them to change the voltage regulator. Mine has had 3 voltage regulators, 2 stators, a wiring harness and battery replaced. It has been to the shop 5 times so far and has been at the dealership 106 days as of today. Its still broken and Polaris or the deanship does not know whats causing the problem. Its not charging. I would consider getting a 2016 instead of the 2015 if your in the market for one. Take a look at the pictures.
is anyone using the superwinch terra 45 on the 900 trail in the stock winch mounting location? can get one at a good price and wont to make sure it will fit. i searched and could only find on the 800’s
