I just bought my 1st RZR. 12 800 trail. last week I installed a snorkel that I made. I notice since I did this I hit my rev limiter all the time now 6300 is this normal? I also put a T fitting in my crankcase breather to route the line higher and I had a knocking sound and I notice if I put my thumb over the hose a little it goes away so I took the hose off and put the breather back to stock.
I have a 2012 RZR4 800 RG and yesterday was my first time out on the trail. The unit did great all day and i had a awesome day in the snow and rocks, but it seemed to be light on power. It also started making a chirping nose on the and a smell of heavy oil like a gear oil. Any thoughts? :scared2:
I didn’t see any leaks and there was no oil on the trailer when i got home
So a few weeks ago I decided to go into the flooded woods behind my house, the water was deep but never got any higher than the bottom of my seats. Unfortunately the belt box wasn’t sealed properly and the belt and clutches got wet..it was salt water. It is shifting fine but the one/two way bearing has seized. I know this because I pulled the cover to put on a new belt.
Now the dealership is telling the entire primary has to be rebuilt, if warranty doesn’t cover it, it will be $420 out of my pocket, well less because the belt they claim needs to be changed is brand new.
So last few rides my rzr has been backfiring just a little and noticed it was running lean. I cleaned air filter and replaced spark plugs. Still running bad and the next short ride I took it was running fine then all of a sudden wouldn’t go past 4500 rpms and had no power. Check fuel pump sock to see if it was dirty and it wasn’t. I’ve pulled the injectors out and MAF to be cleaned. Where else should I look for the problem? It’s also not throwing any codes
Hello to all, My 2 questions concerning the fuse box. #1, Even though a fuse is blown, there should still be power on one side of the fuse. Is my thinking correct in this? #2, I have power in my fuse box at certain locations, (checked with test light) but not on headlight or accessory location. I’ve swapped around relays but to no avail. When ignition is turned to the on position, the lights in speedo turn on, The unit starts and runs. Could there be an additional fusible link for headlight and accessory position somewhere on fuse box?
Thanks for any help in this matter. Kinda got me stumped ..
thinking about trying a rear set on my front.,(standard rzr 50 shocks)..my bike is big, wide and heavy and I ride slow,no jumping….front springs just don’t hold the bike up well..like 1inch or less shock stem showing …I have spring spacers and the shocks turned up…the rears are a little over 2inches longer,so I was thinking rears with no spacers and adjusters turned down..axles are no where close a bind even when you jack the bike up off the ground.and I have my lift at its highest setting so I could move the top in if they dropped to far.
