RZR heads question

OK, i had to buy a head for my 2011 800 (50′)
I purchased one from ebay that has 30 hrs on it. Its a 2013 head. looking at different parts house diagrams it shows the same part #s for the head casting and gaskets. But looking at different sites I see parts working on 2009-2012. 2013 have different gasket listings. Did I screw up getting a 2013 head for my 2011?

Rzr 800 broken axle need help

Hey guys and gals I’m new here I just got an 2008 rzr 800 and it has a broken passenger axle. Thing is it’s got black A arms and they are wider than normal and there’s no markings if it’s an aftermarket kit. So I do not know which axle to buy. I did measure the too A arm and got 16.5 inches pin to pin if that helps.

Starting issue – please help :(

My 2010 rzr 800 has started giving me problems starting this year. Sometimes it fires right up, sometimes it cranks and cranks and cranks, backfires once or twice in the process, but eventually starts. Once it’s running it runs great – idles well, doesn’t miss. This happens when it’s hot or cold.

Of course, this is my first year without warranty, so I’m trying to figure out where to start before I take it to the stealership. Any thoughts or ideas?? Thanks in advance!

Drive Belt Change

i changed my drive belt today…watched all the videos I could fInd first and read many a thread. I have a 2012 and the secondary said ‘rapid response’ on it and had no provision for a socket extension so I re-read some threads and re watched the videos and they all said to use brute force or split the sheaves( I would assume by removing the center bolt on the secondary). Well I used brute force and got it on there but when I got done I said ‘There must be an easier way!!!’ The center bolt on the secondary looked very tempting but I could see a spring behind the sheaves…is that the easy way?

A voltage regulator question

Pirate here, I have a 2009 RZR 800

Voltage Regulator is mounted in front of the radiator.

There is a plug with three yellow wires, that comes from the stator.

Unplug that, start the engine, and measure the AC Voltage from Y1 to Y2, Y1 to Y3 and Y2 to Y3 at good RPM all read 42 to 43 Volts AC. (keep in mind with the Stator unplugged the tach doesn’t work)

So this tells me the stator is fine and doing its job. Reconnect the Stator plug to the Voltage Regulator plug.

Now disconnect the four wire plug. It has two red wires and two black wires. Reading the wiring diagram both red wires go to the same place and both black wires go to the same place. So that tells me I should be reading DC voltage going to the battery that should be in the neighborhood of 13 to 13.5 volts DC.

But reading the DV voltage from red to black, I’m getting 2 or 3 volts DC.

Do you agree this means the Voltage Regulator has failed?

My dealer doesn’t have one, Polarispartsdealer doesn’t have one, Cheap Cycle Parts doesn’t have one. All can get me one in 6-8 days…ummm…leaving for Fillmore Utah on the 19th.

But, FixMyToys has 10 on the shelf. Got a great deal buying two…so I have a spare. Shipping to me 2nd day UPS for $25.

This will be my third voltage regulator, kept the first one and get the same results testing them.

Volt meter on the dash is reading 11.5 Volts DC and got to 12V but no higher.

So that led me to the Voltage Regulator.

Anyone got experience that would say I’m right? The Voltage Regulator is failing????

Thanks much,

Pirate
