help with transmission issue

I recently posted about issues with my trans.after some good replies I replaced my detent balls and springs and everything seemed to work fine.
This past weekend while on a ride my trans would hang in high gear.I can loosen the bolt that is against the detent spring (shift lever side)move shifter and tighten bolt and all works well,,low, reverse and neutral shifting until iI run a little in high gear and it will once again hang.
Also the inner detent doesn’t do anything when installed.so I left in out.
Any ideas what I’m looking at,,bent shift lever, worn out detent plate?
Machine only has 1500 miles.

Design Opinions

Just threw a cpl different rear bumpers together in Bend Tech and wonder what people think my new cage will tie into it. I tried to copy the polaris one with my own look a bit to it in one the other design came from that.[IMG][/IMG]

Is this a good deal?

Hey guys! I am new to the world of SXS, and have been researching non stop for the past month. I definitely know that I want a RZR, but with all the models for each year it had thrown me off bc I still have yet to own one. I have been eyeing up a 2013 RZR 800 Limited. its on the local craigslist, and it is spotless. The guy even has pictures of it without the seats to show how clean it is beneath. The plastics are great.

Power Steering, 1300 miles, 2" lift, brand new Sedona 14" wheels and new 27" its mud tires, warn winch. Polaris roof and windshield. His skin 9500 obo. Is that a great deal, or just average?

Thanks!

Highlifter Springs fully compressed when riding?

Hello great site!

I just purchased a 2008 model with 2inch lift and highlifter springs. I took it out to the mud park and the bike runs great except when it was covered in mud the front left shock was almost fully compressed most of the time. Could it be a bad shock? I could still bounce it up and down slightly. I just found it hard to believe that the highlifter springs could not handle the weight of the mud. Would doing the LTR450 front shock conversion help with the added weight of the mud?

I ordered some 1.5 offset front a arms and a 3 inch lift so the 27 inch tires it has on it will not rub.

Clutch questions

I have done some searching, found some answers still don’t have all my answers…

Any clutch gurus in here? I’m thinking my clutch is wore out. 2010 rzr 800s around 8600 miles stock everything as far as I know, it gets up to about 40 mph then very slow to accelerate after that. Rpms around 5600-5800 rpm. Reading it could be the belt, one way bearing, or rollers/ arms. Haven’t tore into it yet.

Checking my options I think I just want to install a clutch kit while I’m in there as well as a new belt, one way bearing, and any wear items that I would need to replace while I’m in there.

So, pricing on a clutch kit, one way bearing, wear items, a belt, and a clutch removal tool.

Any suggestions / help?

50″ Width and Clearance Help Needed

I could use some help improving my ground clearance and getting the rear of my machine back to 50". Current build on the 2014 800 LE includes Racer Tech 2" lift, OEM shocks with RT medium springs (set at maximum preload), 27x9x14 tires on 14×7 MSA wheels with +30mm offset (roughly 5+2) and less than 1,200 miles. The result is a 54" width and a mere 8" of ground clearance at the rear frame by the hitch (does have a 1/2" rubber skid plate so it would be 8 1/2" without). I have tried 14×6 Walker Evans wheels with a 5.125" backspacing but that makes very little improvement in overall rear width.

My first question – Is it normal for the rear wheels to lean in at the top (see pics)? I ask because if they were more perpendicular to the ground as are the fronts that would improve the overall width since the lower half of the tire/wheel would pivot in as the top half moved out. Does that have anything to do with the lift kit or the springs? Anyway to fix if not normal?

Second: Shouldn’t the lift kit, especially when combined with the taller than OEM tires, provide more ground clearance than what I have?

Third: What am I missing?

Thanks for your help.

high clearance lift by super ATV

I have a 2012 800 trail. After trail riding I kept bottoming out. Would like to put the s package on but at this point of time I can’t afford 1800. So I was thinking of getting the super atv high lifter for the 50inch chassis. Has anyone put this on? If so how much more clearance did you gain and how stable in the machine on corners compare to stock? Just wondering if 260 iswoth spending.
