I am new to this forum and am having trouble with my 2008 RZR. The RZR has less than 100 hours on it. I started it up for the first time in 3 weeks. It started fine but then died after roughly 45 seconds and would not restart.
Here is what I have verified so far:
-The fuel pump does not run the priming routine when I key on.
-EFI relay and fuse are good but the ECU is not sending the ground trigger to the relay.
-Fuel pump will run when I manually ground the relay.
-I also do not have spark, even when I manually ground the EFI relay.
-The engine cranks over fine (350-450 rpm on speedo while cranking)
-All fuses look good.
-Battery is at least 12.8 Volts.
-Ground connections at frame appear good.
-I have verified good wiring from the EFI relay to the ECU (Pin 28).
-ECU is getting 12V unswitched power on Pin 1 and 12V switched power on pin 2.
-ECU has good ground on pin 19.
-ECU pins at connector are clean and in good repair.
-I cannot find any visible damage to the wire harnesses.
-CPS resistance is 569 ohms (yellow and white wire).
One other weird thing is that I am unable to get into the diagnostic mode where I can check the "blink codes". I have tried 30+ times using the key on/off, on/off, on method (in under 5sec) and cannot get the wait screen and codes to come up. I have done this in park and neutral with and without the brake depressed. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
I am starting to think that I may have a bad ECU. Any ideas would be appreciated.
I have a 2010 800 rzr 5k miles on it I bought it about 300 miles ago and since then I have seen the pinion nut problem with them although with 5k on it I don’t think it would back off now but that’s not a chance I am willing to take. This rzr is for my family I put the 3rd seat in and my girlfriend and her daughter and I ride together and right now mostly alone so reliability is huge to me! That brings me to my question should I also split the rear diff and inspect it and replace the bearings and seals. It does turn smooth and had no leaks. What would you guys do? Thnx for any input I am already learning alot from this fourm!!

Hey guys, 2013 Razor 800s. Just purchased and noticed the weep hole was dripping coolant, have removed the offending seal and have a new one. However behind the coolant seal there is, what I am assuming, is an oil seal that seals out the oil from the oil pump side of the shaft. I cannot find a part # for this seal and it does not show this seal in the parts breakdown for this machine. There is a part # that I found for the same year 900 just wondering if this may be the same seal. I punched that part # into the Google machine and it came up with a picture of a similar looking, possibly identical, seal. Does anyone know this part # or know of a place I could find it? I have checked only cheapcycleparts.com
Is there any after market brake calipers out there. I am having all kinds of heck with the factory ones. We do a lot of mud riding and was wondering if there were some better calipers out the for her RZR 800. Going to do a complete brake over haul in the next couple of weeks and just needed to know if I should stick with factory or find something else!

I finally got around to installing my Evo tonight, and overall it wasn’t too bad.
Probably the toughest thing was having to take it apart like 4 times because I forgot something, crap I just remembered the heat shield under the bed, Damn!
Any ways it has a few small leaks that I hope will go away after a heat cycle or 2. It has a nice low rumble but not too much louder than stock, now wind it up a bit and it starts to roar.
I have a race tomorrow so we shall see how it does.
