My display sometimes changes from H to — in the middle of riding. A very light pull back on the shifter brings back the H (2013 800 50").
I’m guessing my cable is stretched a tad.
What’s the "ratcheting" the manual talks about if the cable is out of adjustment? What’s that sound like? I am getting a sound on decel in the last 15 feet before coming to a stop. It’s more like a repetitive chirping. Could that be the transmission "ratcheting" from not having the right cable adjustment?
The manual is not particularly clear on this subject. The only two clues I have are the — , and the chirping noise on decel.
Can anyone steer me in the right direction. I have an 08 with satv forward arched a arms and 3" lift with 1.5 wheel spacers on 30" Baja Cross. I ripped my front diff apart after the first ride with the upgrades and have replaced it with 900, now my axles have given out what is the best axle to handle the angle of the upgrades. I don’t do much high speed riding most mountain and hills. Thanks for the help
Alright starting to get fed up with these 800s, we have had a lot of issues (including diff) with the older model 800s so thats why we got a 2011, well we’ve had issue after issue with it too…. Anyway we were riding in WV easy down a dirt road and the rear diff literally exploded/locked up. Sooo it is completely unusable, what is the best option for a 2011 50 inch rear diff that requires little to no mods. I already know the best option for the front after round three with a 2009.
I got my rear diff out and going to pull the nyloc nut off and replace it with a regular nut and I was wondering before I do if anyone knows the size and thread pitch on the nut so I can have a new one ready to put on. I’m hoping that I can get a replacement in town but I may have to order it. Anyone that has replaced them did you get them locally or did you need to order it if so from whare? Does polaris have one that’s not nyloc? Also I need to buy a socket to pull it and rather than carry that thing into a store with me and try fitting sockets does anyone off hand know what size socket they used?

Hello all, On our last ride our belt went to whinning/screaming and the rzr was hard to put in gear… Once I gott home I replaced the belt.. Its still whinning a little but its extremely hard to get into gear.. Is there a way to adjust the clutches to quit the whinning and to make the shifting easier? Thanks
I’m new to the forum and was hoping to get some direction on a front diff issue that I’m trying to help a friend out with. I would like options on getting this diff back up and running without spending $1000. I’ve ready threads of some aftermarket vendors, but I haven’t felt like I’ve read a lot of consistent threads that say, definitely go this route or this route depending on budget. I’ll post some pictures and let me know what you guy all think. One thing that surprised me was that the Sprague carrier is made of metal and I fully expected it to be plastic and shreaded in bits like the youtube videos I’ve seen. Any thoughts on why this one is metal and not plastic? My buddy bought it from his friend and was told the diff had never been serviced. His friend bought it brand new. I appreciate any info you all have to offer. I do have the service manual thanks to someone on this board (sorry the name slips my mind at the moment).
So guys and gals I have a 2014 Rzr 800 LE with about 900 miles on her. I have a bit of play on one side in the tie rod end and I think a bunch in the other. So I would like to replace them with a better end then OEM so Im not changing them once a year if possible. So what do you all suggest I appreciate all inputs thank you in advanced. Also is this normal mileage for this to happen?
