Spring Upgrade

been doing some reading and still confused. Real quick (if possible) what brand of springs should i consider for a quick upgrade to my stock 2012 RZR 800 50". Its a pretty rough and squeaky as all get out ride. when i have a passenger i want them to be like yeah, this is a nice ride man not awe dang this is rough as all get out…and buy a can of lube or something..my ears are killing me. LOL..i love my RZR though. Im not looking for a shock replacement. I want a affordable quick and easy spring replacement. I see stuff on ebay but dont know if i’ll be able to feel a decent diff installing those. they run about 250 for 2. so im guessing a $500 upgrade.

What about Conventional 75w-140?

In the rear differential? The reason being, I’ve been told some custom axle manufacturers like Currie and Dynatrac require conventional gear lubes, believing dino oil helps sink the heat away more effectively so the gears run cooler.

I’m wondering if 75w-140 might help keep the nut from backing off?

pinion nut socket

OK I’m getting really frustrated. After reading about the pinion nut coming loose I decided to bite the bullet and pull my rear differential. I’m glad I did because the nut was almost all the way backed off with about 1/8" end play in the pinion shaft and no threads on the shaft showing. The problem is I can’t find a deep enough 1 3/4" socket. I don’t have the resources to cut, grind, or drill through tool steel and I don’t have access to welding equipment. I’ve read about some member Powermaxx his name is Darrell but there is no contact information that I can find. He had posted on an old thread that they sell the modified socket. Does anyone know where I can purchase a socket that will work? I’ve been looking online for four days now and nothing. I did order a "deep well" 1 3/4 socket from NAPA only to find when it came in that it was only about 1/4" deeper than the $9.99 socket available from Tractor Supply. Neither of which are deep enough.

Need help RZR won’t start/ run

I am stumped!!!

2013 RZR 800 LE was running fine….. until yesterday. When I went to start it for about the fourth time yesterday I did not have a gear displayed on the cluster, I cycled through the gears and slightly rolled back and forward. Gear indicator then displayed properly and started with no problem. Took a very short ride and shut it off again, it did the same thing.I got it started the same way again and drove back to the camper. The next time I went to start it again there was no gear indicated however I was not able to get it to start. The instrument cluster shows — for the gear indicator, voltage, engine temp.

We checked the fuses, relays and grounds everything looks good. I am unable to get into where I should be able to read any codes. We disconnected all the accessories in order to rule them out. we have spent many hours looking for the culprit but have been unsuccessful. At one point I even disconnected the ecu and the same symptoms still exist.

We have been looking through the service manual and wiring diagrams but every time we find a possibility it leads nowhere!

Any ideas what to try????

Tilting Windshield question

Can anyone tell me if they have one of these type windshields and if so will it do a good job in blowing some of the hot air out of the cab generated by the radiator during the hot summer months?
I currently have a full windshield which is great on colder days but in the summer we just bake and I am thinking this type windshield might be the solution to bring more air inside the open cab.

Would like thank the forum for helping me fine the problem on my rzr 800. It was the circuit breaker had fun getting to it but fan works like it should. Move the breaker and added a switch to turn on fan if i have to. THANKS FORUM

Shift Cable adjustment?

My display sometimes changes from H to — in the middle of riding. A very light pull back on the shifter brings back the H (2013 800 50").

I’m guessing my cable is stretched a tad.

What’s the "ratcheting" the manual talks about if the cable is out of adjustment? What’s that sound like? I am getting a sound on decel in the last 15 feet before coming to a stop. It’s more like a repetitive chirping. Could that be the transmission "ratcheting" from not having the right cable adjustment?

The manual is not particularly clear on this subject. The only two clues I have are the — , and the chirping noise on decel.

Any ideas for me? Thanks for giving it a thought.
