Urgent Help! Oil Leak!

2011 800 standard 50" 2200km.

I had the rear box/bed off to change the exhaust donut so I washed the back of the machine down with a garden hose. When I put it back in the garage I noticed a steady drip drip of oil coming off the belly pan by the rear passenger tire.

Is it possible I’ve dislodged a hose or sensor with the garden hose? (Not a pressure washer)

I can’t tell where its coming from yet and thought I would put it out to the forum for advise before pulling my hair out.

All advise is appreciated

Used 2011 RZR 800 EPS Price

Hi guys. Long time lurker and first time poster.

A friend is selling her 2011 RZR 800 EPS. It has 2,800 miles and from looking it over, it has been kept up well. The asking price is $6,000. What I am wondering is if this is a good price for the amount of miles. From looking online, it seems to be, but I would like to get some of your alls opinions. I have attached a couple photos.

Thank you!

High Output VR and Stator

Does anyone make a high output VR and stator for the older 800…specifically my 08 ? If not, is there a way to modify the system to except a newer style VR or stator?

I’m not having any problems right now, but I’m thinking about some "upgrades" that will likely cause me some power problems. I’ve done a little searching and didn’t see anything for my old girl. I’m trying to decide if I would be better off just upgrading my stock battery and adding a 2nd battery with isolator, or going HO on the VR and stator if I could find them. But I’m still curious if the stock charging system would be able to keep up with the demand on the 2nd battery if I went that route.

Voltage regulator?

Hey all,

Was out for a ride Saturday and had an odd issue that eventually resulted in a total breakdown. Off and on throughout the afternoon/evening I kept getting a low voltage warning. Then I got a check engine line and my throttle kept cutting out (acting like I was hitting a rev limiter, but was traveling at pretty low speed / RPM to being with). We stopped and I shut the engine down, then had to jump it to get it to start again. Continued on for a few hours, then the voltage warning started coming up again, followed by the rev limiting and shutdown. We were unable to get it to start again, even jumping it from a car battery. What was so bizarre about the whole thing, was even after the voltage warning and shutdown, my light bars and stereo continued to work with no trouble whatsoever, indicating my battery still had plenty of juice. One of the guys with us said his voltage regulator had previously failed and he had virtually the same symptoms.

I should also add the battery is practically brand new, maybe 20-30 hours of use, and was fully charged immediately prior to the ride.

Can anyone shed any light? And does anyone know if the Polaris extended warranty would cover it?

Thanks in advance!

engine diagnosis help – Locked motor?

had a long version written and my laptop did dumb things. here is short hand.

i went too deep. like 20′ deep for about 30 minutes. drained the motor, both diffs, trans and transfer case. pulled the plugs and ran diesel through the top end, the crank case and put fresh oil in it along with a filter.

it ran for about 30-45 seconds. about the time i wanted to kill it, it acted like it wanted to die so i let it. i dumped the milky oil and filled it back up and went to start it. i can hear the starter make a weird noise, but the motor doesnt turn.

any way to verify that the motor is locked? where can i grab onto a crank bolt?

Help – Installing new fuel pump in a 2011 800 ( 30mm )

I found a new direct replacement 30mm fuel pump from Quantum Fuel / Highflowfuel ( HP-396 ). I thought it would be easy to drop the lower housing from the pump assembly – there are 3 tabs holding the lower housing on, but the part I cannot figure out is how to remove the float assembly from the side which is holding the lower housing on as well. The earlier years appear to have a different assembly setup. Has anyone done this and is there a secret without breaking something?? Getting to this point was not bad, the assembly removal from the tank was easy but now stuck. I attached a couple images.

Thanks!!

Flush mount fender flares?

I picked up my first rzr 800 last winter, this was my first summer with it and one thing is driving me crazy and looking for someone to point me in the right direction. I bought a 2013 rzr 800 ( the 50" wide one ) I bought this module specifically for its smaller width and so I can register it for new York trail systems but the stupid stock fender flares stick almost 6" off either side. I ride pretty narrow trails and those stupid things grab everything and they don’t break themselves, they rip the bedside apart. The first time it happened I bought a new bed side ( $260 ) and a month later same exact thing. I refuse to replace the fender again until I can find some " low profile " fender flares. Does anyone know where to find them? Friend of mine just picked up a 2014 rzr and his flares are flush to the body… why are the 2013 flares so much wider than the machine and where can I find flush mount ones????
