Yesterrday i noticed all the ball joints on my 2012 800 are loose. Before i do a total replacement i wondered if anyone supplies a joint that can be lubed. So far I haven’t been able to locate any. At 1,300 miles it seems a little strange that they would be that loose. I do not use my machine as a submarine, make it leap tall buildings, or fly through the air! Just seems like they should last longer and would if they could be given a shot of grease once in awhile. Thanks.
I’m new to your forum and could use a bit of advice.
Bought a used 2009 Razor in May 2015. On first outing, my son’s friend thought it was a bulldozer… or at least that was the result. As he drifted it around the trail corner, he over-corrected, hit a fallen log, which launched the machine into a (thankfully) dead stump. The driver’s side tire took the shot about two feet above ground and dislodged a 30" dead stump. Tie rod/steering, a-arm toast. I got to operate it about 25 minutes…
So, now 6 months later, want to take it hunting and it will not even turn over. I get a click at the solenoid. Had batter checked, 14v, full 310 CCA. Emery clothed and tighten the cables and connections at +/- terminals of battery, terminal ground location and ground cable bolt on starter. Changed the solenoid. Still nothing but a single click at keyed ignition location.
I did the blink code deal, brake on, key to "ON" 3 times in 5 seconds, leaving it on third time… get code 51, which manual indicates as;
Injector 1 – Open Load
Injector 1 – Short circuit to ground
Injector 1 – Short circuit to battery
Again, the "terminal ground" behind battery on frame, I cleaned cable ends, emery clothed metal, tightened???
The machine looks like the skeleton of terminator as I’ve disassembled half the body searching for a broken wire…
HELP please…
PS… I have a service manual but it does not point me in a direction… only tells me what the code is… totally frustrated!!!
Does anyone know of a roof spoiler that i could mount on my 2012 800 with a polaris plastic roof? I’m looking for some type of a spoiler that could be used to help control dust entering the cab area. I’m using an emp full flip out windshield and will soon be purchasing a rear dust screen. Just thought a spoiler would help the situation. Have considered building one but the roof shape will make that idea somewhat difficult. Ideas? Thanks.
Im thinking about swaping my suspension ,what parts do i need to do the swap ? axles control arms ,shocks and brake lines right? any thing im missing? i found a few used sets of control arms for sale. and a buddy of mine has two spare front s axles he had for his 2011s
I have PRP doors on my 800 RZR that just drive me nuts. I took some pipe isulation and cut some short pieces and put on the tubing but they still rattle. Does anyone have these doors with some type of modification to quiet these things down? I have some ideas but would like to hear or see some others solutions!!
Hi everyone, new to the site here, long time watcher, just haven’t posted much yet. Anyway, I’ve searched quite a bit on here about replacing the front stabilizer/sway bar, and it seems most people just take them off, I see their point, BUT, what if you don’t want to take it off and you just want to replace it because it broke, like mine did. Well after a lot of anxiety about how to do this I finally replaced mine and to tell the truth it was really quite easy. I took some photos of the process and I am going to try to upload them, along with some details. This applies to my 2013 RZR 800 50" HO trail, I’m not sure about other years and sizes, but hopefully it helps out someone:)
mine has big tires and portals…I just put a new belt on(same part number) and I could see the old one was worn thinner and to me seems to engauge at a higher rpm.i never looked at rpm before this….went riding and about 8 to 10mph mine runs 3900 to 4000 in low.(high gear is not for trails)..we mud riders ride slow.LOL..just seems to be where it engages enuff to move ,,,does that sound about right?road all day and no belt slipping or smell or belt dust…get in a hole and of course I have to step on it harder and 5000ish it just comes to life and charges forward to say the least….I do not know if it has a clutch kit or if it even need one…the portals gear it down like 30% so it aint a speed demon for sure.
