250ex Starter Relay Switch, 15a Fuse Wire Confusion…

I cannot get my 01 250ex to push button start. I took the starter relay switch from my 07 400ex and put it on the 250ex.
Where are the closest wires for me to connect the following wires from my starter relay switch in order to push button start?
Red female tip wire, from the 15a fuse
Yellow/red stripe male tip wire
Yellow/green stripe female tip wire

Again, the relay switch I’m using is from my 400ex. The 250ex doesn’t have a yellow/green stripe wire from the relay switch, rather it has Light green.

I’ve already burnt 3 fuses fiddling around, and I only have two left, so I thought I’d ask the professionals.

Could I just run wires from the relay switch straight to the matching ones of the rectifier, or ignition control module ICM, or something?

Thanks in advance!

wildfire 50cc atv wont start

Ok, so a few years back my uncle picked up a little chinese atv it had a carb problem, I haven o idea what…maybe it wasnt jetted correctly and anyways it wouldnt start so my uncle fixed that and the atv got flipped and wouldnt start so its been sitting in the garage ever since so today i tried to get it started i tried to put it on the battery charger but when i pushed the start button it only made a click so i then tried to push start it and it was turning over but wont start, so finally i quit working with it I also noticed it was leaking a little gas by the fuel petcock. Any advice to get it started? Thanks…

no spark or power for engine

have been able to turn over engine but no spark… have checked spark plug and coil.! have limited power to back of coil but nothing going to spark plug… have fuel and checked engine stop and fine… ignition switch seems to be working..!
Reverse switch is working…did ignition primary peak voltage.. all is fine but no spark to plug… but voltage is not 100v with readings… about 60v…??? Did continuity check with wires to back of coil to ECM all ok..
Ignition pulse generator checks and voltage all o.k… and 5P .7 minimum voltage.. more really..!
Starter relay is fine…! checked voltage Relay and all proper fine… wire and connectors fine…!
Battery is fully charges and cranks great and holds a charge well..
coil peak voltage is way below 100V….
I do not know what else to follow up or check and getting a little frustrated… Sorrow for such a large mail but need advise…!! thanx….

Another es problem need help

2003 foreman 450 overheated to the point that recoil melted. Rebuilt topend runs mint now, but the es will kick out after a few minutes of riding. Works great until it kicks out. It’s giving the 5 blink code I did everything the manual says and everything checks out
– new battery
– new angle sensor
-tried different pod
– tried different voltage regulator

It’s goofy because it will reset after a day or after I unplug some stuff and plug it back in. Manual points towards ecu but I what are the chances it’s that? I’m pretty sure it was working fine until the major over heat. What could the high heat have ruined to cause the problem? Any help appreciated thanks in advance

89 fourtrax dies after warming up

Hi all,

I know this is a common issue. The 89 fourtrax is dying after warming up… can let it rest and will fire right back up. The local power sports guy said it is hardly ever the ign coil (which I don’t believe based on this site). with battery disconnected, I have about 10-11v across the battery terminals, and it drops to 3v when I rev it. neutral light flickers until I rev it and then goest out completely. I figure this should let some experienced guys know whats up right away. suggestions?

Thanks!

cluch not comlpetly disengaging

Hi everyone. I’m new here and new to the ATV world. Mostly watercraft. I just bought a 1997 Honda TRX300EX. My question is the clutch isn’t fully disengaging. It will sit still with the break on and idle but when you take off the break it will start moving with me on it. (On level ground) I’ve tried adjusting the cable but all I’ve managed to accomplish is when the clutch engages. Is there something I’m missing here? Any advice would be great thanks!
