2007 honda rubicon 500 WONT SHIFT HELP
have a 2007 honda rubicon 500 with electric shift on handle bars but wont shift out of 1st gear. I replaced the shift sensor but it didnt fix the problem. Just to be sure the shift sensor is located down by your left foot on the engine under the exhaust shield right? What else could it be or what am I doing wrong?
Transmission?
So on my 2013 Honda foreman when downshifting it will make a weird noise then it want slow down the back tires till I give it gas. When I mean it won’t slow down the back tires when your moving at a highwe speed than the gear below wants to go with out having high rpms it try to slow down the back tires. Like in 2nd gear the highest speed you can go is 20 but the rpms get really high at 12 mph so when I downshift from third into 2nd doing about 20 where it would try to slow the bike down it doesn’t unless I give it gas and sometimes when driving at a higher rpm in between the gears of 3rd -5th it drop the shift in about 10 second so basically Ill be driving and I would let off the gas shift it and get back to giving it gas and it will pick up speed then shift back down to the gear before it. It has 2400 miles on but a lot of them are more trail riding and some pavement with a little mudding thrown in there
Bent rim fix?
I have two sets of rims and tires but both sets have a wheel thats bent making it wobble. The 12in rims i have on it now has a small wobble but its getting worse the more i mud with it. Id like to try and recover the rims. Anybody have any ideas. Even how to find where its bent. i think the hub in the rear might be bent a little as well. Thanks
Rear trunk removal
I have a 2004 honda 350 and I’m trying to get the rear trunk off its right in the middle of the bike next to the exhaust
Electronic shifting concerns
I have a bike that some times likes to fight me going into gear, I swear I once saw a post on here about removing the shift motor and repalcing the factory grease with white lithium grease, but I cant seem to find it, tried searching but no luck
No compression
Bought a 2008 Rancher 420 4×4 the other day no compression.
Replace jug, gaskets and rings. Got it back together and attempted to adjust the valves. I line up the T on the flywheel no matter which stroke I have it on one of the the valves has the spring compressed and it is impossible to adjust?
Its like it is out of time?
Rebuilt a several 250 and 350 topends but never had this issue.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Want to hit the trails bad.
Aluminium shavings in oil
Hello all
okay, on a CRF, the timing chain was rubbing on the aluminium. so I took the oil through, and pump off, and the piece that(I guess uses centrifugal force to separate junk out of the oil?) was filled with shavings, but it did not look like the pump had any in it that I could tell. there is some in the bottom of the crankcase and in the drain filter.
So my question is, should I just flush it out with some oil and MMO a couple times, and do y’all think that will clean it? I thought about maybe filling it with diesel and agitating it, then draining it.
what do y’all think?
