Hello all! I am in the process of rebuilding the front diff on my 1997 Foreman 400. I have the diff torn down and received my bearing and seal kit (made by All Balls) in the mail this week. I opened the needle bearing and noticed right away that one of the needles is missing. There was no evidence in the little baggie of a loose needle. There is an empty slot in the bearing where the needle should go. Should it be that way or am I correct that I need to return it?

I have a 1996 Honda 300 4×4. The front driveshaft looks like it is in a bind!!! I have all new bearings and seals front to back but when I am riding it the front driveshaft will travel back so far in the transfer case that it pops out of the front chunk!!!! Could my frame be bent??? Has anybody else had this problem??? Any help or insight will be appreciated!!! Thanks!!
I changed the oil on my Honda Rancher I just bought a few days ago, only 1.5qts came out of it. But other than that everything went well. After driving it for awhile once I was finished I shut it down to pick up something in the yard, maybe 10 min passed and I started the atv back up, I noticed a ticking noise like it’s not getting oip for about 1-3 seconds after I start it once it’s beens standing for a few minutes. Seems to me like a dry start or something, do these have an anti drain back valve one the oil filter? The engine fires right up, barely taping the button is enough to get it running. My oil level is good and I put 2.1 qts in it after draining. Is this normal to have a ticking noise for a second or so when starting?
My handle bars on my 3004×4 move forward and back about a half inch. Does anyone know what this problem might be and how hard is it for a dummy to fix?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi all. I need a bit of help here. My oil seal that goes on the emergency shifter shaft keeps coming out. I am gonna pick up a new seal for it. I think I want to put a bit of Loctite around the outer edge to hold it in there real good for peace of mind. Which Loctite product should I use for this. Appreciate any help. I was thinking Loctite 518??? Thanks

Alright.. so since the day I bought my 400ex, it has had a noisy valve tick due to the hotcam inside it. I have tried everything to eliminate this tick… I went back to stock (.04in .05ex), i went to what was recommended by a few on various forums (.05in .06ex) and I went to what someone supposedly was told from one of the guys at Hotcams inc (.08in .10ex… that’s ridiculous)!
So far the quietest it was ever at was .05in .06ex but there was still a noticeable tick!
Is there any right spec or do i have to keep guessing and pulling apart the valve covers over and over until i get it right? Or is this only something that’s going to go away if I get rid of my stock valve springs? Please help guys… I just did a rebuild on my 400 and I don’t want to hear this awful valve tick anymore :icon_ cry:
Maybe i should just let my local honda dealer take care of it *sigh*…
