Fellas can a bad rectifier/regulator cause a no spark issue? I have been fighting this of and on for over a year and with out goin into a long winded post on everything the ol gal finally totally quit. I replaced with brand new cdi and ign coil plus new spark plug. All resistance test are good plus body ground. Checked the connections tween the forks w/ diode in that box also, plus have unwrapped the harness halfway back to check all factory splices. I had not checked reg/rect. because i thought it was part of charging side, but after doin some ohmes checks with the clymer manuel i got some funky readings and was wondering if the reg/rect could cause no spark? i have got "yes" and "no" from old post and was looking for a more def answer. Thanks for any help, Rustyorange

i dont have any headlight nor taillight for my honda fourtrax 300 4×4 1995
i have bought new bulb , but nothing work , i check the wire that i saw underneath the fender near the headlight and every wires looks ok , and the handlebar switch seems to work because the starter and the on/off button work , i have a multimeter but im not sure where to check for current and dont want to blow something else , is there fuses especially for the lights ? , can i check voltage in the connectors just before the headlights , which color to check , you probably see that i’m totally lost in that domain , so if you please help me precisely on that would be grateful
I have a stage 2 hot cam, and two brothers slip on exhaust isntalled, had to buy a new carb because old one was cracked on the body, I have torn the entire top end of the motor down and cleaned the shit out of it but still getting fuel in the bottom end, the only thing I can think of would be bad valves or piston rings or both. Could really use some input on this one.
I’m having trouble finding what the valve clearence should be set on my ’15 rubicon and was wondering what it should be set to since there are no pdf files for the service manual yet and ebay wants $124 for it. I’m guessin it would be the same as a 420 which is .006 and .009 on the exhaust.

Hi, I bought an 03 400ex about 4 months ago and I’ve used these forums to iron out a lot of the kinks. Recently I began to notice if I went to full throttle from idle it would bog down. I searched these forums a long time and now I assume it’s a jetting issue. I haven’t inspected the sparkplug yet and I know that should have been my first step but I stupidly skipped that. It has a fmf power bomb slip on and k&n filter, I replaced the timing chain with a crf450 chain and a few other things. Anyways I removed the main and pilot jets they were 140 and 38. I replaced with a 155 and 42. Now the bogging is a lot more noticeable and it happens no matter what rpm you’re at when you hit it hard instead of just from idle. What is my next step? Different jets, needle jet adjustment, air fuel screw? Also if it helps any, it runs fine with no choke but dies when I choke it, which didn’t happen before. Thanks in advance
Hey guys, new here but not new to atvs or forums (I had 20k posts on highlifter until 2010)…
Bought an 07 rancher 420 that was a 2wd now almost a 4wd. First things first battery is dead and once I’m sure new battery holds a charge I need to tend to its drivability. The bike cuts out above 3/4 throttle. It sounds as if it is starving for fuel. Has been sitting up for 7 months. Can someone give me insight on location and replacement procedure of the fuel filter or strainer sock or whatever it may have? I work on FI automobiles everyday but never on an atv lol help needed here!
09 Honda Foreman 500 foot shift. does anyone know what the starting setting (number turns) are for the carburetor jets. A buddy and I was cleaning the carb yesterday and we both thought the other had wrote the numbers down but neither of us did.
So if anyone can help me get into the ballpark for the settings for all three jets on the carburetor I sure would appreciate it.
