Ive rebuilt this motor and replaced one way bearing. Motor purrs like a kitten, but, one way bearing is kind of grinding sound and kick starter moves forward until it hits casing then spins free. It is very hard to kick also and does not come back up and reset properly. Please help

Just wondering what steps to take in figuring out my starter problem?
When i go to press the start button nothing happens, i can use the pull starter and it fires right up. Should i take the start button apart and just work my way down to the starter? From the start button it goes to the relay,solenoid and then starter? Correct?

I have temp an engine light on, an fan is staying on also, I cant find anything about the temperature light in the service manual, but the machine runs good starts good, has good power an shifts good, a month ago the fan only came on when it got up to temp, but now it’s gotten worse, it’s not getting hot an it’s full on coolant, someone please point me in the right path as to what to do, I’m very mechanically inclined, just not an electrician lol

so i have a 2008 honda 420 rancher fuel injected. i just cleaned the fuel system out. and cleaned throttle body. also did valve adjustment. now bike starts at least but when given throttle it boggs out bad. and it smells like its running rich any ideas would be great thanks in advance.

So I took an 09 500fm rear diff apart trying to find my rear end problem. Everything inside looked fine, and I discovered the problem was a broken you d and I discovered the problem was a broken ujoint. Got a new ujoint ordered and tonight when I tried to put the differential back together I can’t tighten the diff bolts without binding the Pinion and ring gears. There is one shim on either side of the ring gear, and I did not remove the Pinion.

I had a similar issue with the front differential a couple years ago, and the pinion gear had walked forward towards the ring gear. I don’t see how this pinion could have walked out, and everything was fine and turned smoothly before I took it apart. I suppose I could double shim one side of the ring gear to space it away from the pinion but I know that’s not the right way to do it.

Bearings are tight, seals look good, fluid was fine, ring and pinion look good. What am I missing here?

I have a 07 TRX 450R it won’t start I took the carb apart its fine, (I know nothing about Honda engines or any other engines) so some my questions might seem really dumb to some, but I appreciate any insight. 1st question there’s a red light below the green under key entry it comes on and 2nd to me it sounds like a starter issue, but could the radiator need water or coolant??

Hello everyone I’m new to the forum! So I bought a 2003 400ex from a buddy of mine and I wasn’t sure the last time the oil was changed, so I changed it with 10w-40 mobile 1. So the next day I ride it and it runs great, shut it off and go to restart it and it sounds like the started is locking up.. Eventually I got it started again and it runs great. Parked it and let it cool down. And it fired right up, try again and the starter sounds like it’s locking up again. Not sure if changing the oil could cause this.. Thanks in advance

I have a 04 Foreman Rubicon TRX500FGA that I purchased new in 2004.
I’m having an issue that hopefully someone is familiar with and could help me resolve.

When I turn the key on, modes D1 D2 ESP are all typically displayed on the led screen. I have to wiggle the shift knob back and forth until the N displays to start the ATV. To put it in Reverse, I have to wiggle the shift knob back and forth until the R displays. If I put it in Drive, wiggle until the D displays. Same with putting in Low.
Once I get the D to display, the ATV runs and shifts great. If I try to drive it while the D1 D2 ESP are all displayed, it will not shift.

There are no trouble codes being displayed, so not sure what’s causing this annoying problem. I’ve disconnected and cleaned every wiring connection.

If anyone is familiar with this issue, please let me know.

My 04 Rincon 650 has a bad noise that i can only describe as a whine. it seems to be low in the front of the engine, kind of loud. Bad when it starts but gets better when warm. Its not constant, increase RPM and it go’s away. seems to be at idle and some times not at all?? any ideas? oil pump?
