I have a 1995 Honda 300 fourtrax and both the tires in the front move side to side NOT up and down so I know it’s not the wheel bearings. I don’t know if it has something to do with the ti rods being loose or something. I just need help on how to fix it.

I have a torn front outer cv boot so I ordered a new one off motorcycle superstore. Went to replace it and before I was ready to take the old boot off I realized that the larger diameter hole looked smaller then the stock boot. I then took a piece of weed eater string (at camp and all I had) to try and get a rough measurement of the stock boot and the stock boot is about 1 in bigger in diameter then the new replacement. Do these boots stretch out a lot? Should I worry about it being to small?

I also double checked to make sure it’s the right one and the part #’s match up from the website and on the box.

its been awhile and I’ve been busy with work and haven’t been riding lately but i need to fix my 300ex, I’m dying to get it going. I flipped the quad a couple months ago and it started right up but now it won’t start and none of the lights are on either, it seems like there isn’t even a battery connected. I tested the battery and its good, fuses are good, and i jumped the solenoid and it cranked over perfectly, but didnt start obviously because there is no spark, what could it be? someone had said it was a bad bank angle sensor but i don’t even think 300ex’s have bank angle sensors, i looked on the wiring diagram and looked them up and couldn’t find them. So what else could it be?

Aft running a sorting clays course yesterday it refused to start on the last station. Had to be towed in by a Yamaha. It makes a click noise when you turn the key. Sounds like a starter but the unit only has 120 hrs on It. Any thoughts?

BTW ruled out battery and shift interrupter. CHarged battery, still no luck.
Unit makes the click noise in neutral but not in gear.

Does anyone know what changes Honda made in the 2009 or so Rancher 420 vs the 07-08 ? Looks to me that they maybe packaged the gears that actually meshed together as a set on the 07-08??? Take for instance the gear listed #14 is priced at $167 , but the #9 gear (one it meshes with) is the same part number and is also listed at $167 …..The 09 lists the same gear #14 with a different part number and is priced at $57 ??? I know that we are looking at parts drawings and not pics , but it would not surprise me if these part are the same , just packaged different . I ran into this with cranks for my 07 , with the later model crankshafts being $100 bucks cheaper . I bought one of the later model cranks and it was IDENTICAL to the earlier model so now I’m investigating these tranny gears to se if they are along the same line .
