im have been have some problems wit 05 trx 250ex it wont idle when cold and only with choke but when engine is hot it idles super high i adjust it and its fine then i ride it after then its high again :icon_ cry::icon_ cry:

Hello my fellow Honda riders, I’m needing some opinions. I recently was riding my 07 trx450er at or local riding spot. I stopped to take a break and when i went to start my quad i had no power. I had some led lights wired to a toggle switch and I noticed that the exhaust had melted through the wiring i had ran along the frame to the led light. So, i figured the wires were grounding out and burnt the battery up. I ordered a new battery,charged it and went riding a few days later. When i got home to start it up it was dead again, no power. So i called the place i ordered the battery from (Rockymountainatvmx.com)and asked what it could be. They said to jump off the quad to get it running and then take the cables off the battery,if it stays running then it’s the battery and if it dies then it’s the stator. So i did that and it stayed running. I ordered another battery charged it and the same thing happened again. I’m needing some opinions on what else it could be. Any advice or opinions would be much appreciated.

Any ideas about alternative ways to crimp the connector to the cable instead of buying the expensive large cable crimper that i probably will not use very often? Also, the starter cable does not have the wire size on it. Anyone know the gauge? 2004 TRX 350TM
