HELP HELP HELP!! 2014 Foreman rebuild!

Alright ive searched high and low and cannot for my life find any info on the 2014 foreman 500 cylinder! Mine washed the rings out and needs to be bored out! Question is, can the stock cylinder be bored out or is it nikasil? I cant tell if theres a sleeve in it or not! So my question is, can i bore out and hone the stock cylinder on a 2014?! Thanks!

82 big red, needs rebuilt now what next?

So I took my big red to the local small motor guy who rebuilds all my junk.

This time he said my 82 big red needs rebuilt.

could be rings or ???

It burns out the spark plug coating it in oil now and also smokes oil out the exhaust.

What kit or rebuild kit do I buy? What is involved with a perfectly working big red motor that will make it gum up the plug every time?

This is the 3rd carb rebuild we did so we are pretty sure its the rings or motor parts?

Im not very smart and the mechanic said "buy the gaskets and rings" but could it be the cylinder head costing much more $$$ making it not worth it? :rating06: :stupid: :icon_ banned:

400EX running rich.. idle with choke on.. only

2003 honda 400ex … New to me sat for 2 years clean tank took carb apart… but it jas a foam filter and two bros exhaust… the foam filter isnt right is it? The idle is set all the way up.. only will idle woth choke on.. i took carb aprt sprayed cleaner trough it…

In the float bowl is the idle jet next to the main jet.. the idle jet is smaller and has about 8 holes trough it?.. i treid to slide a small paper clip through it would not go.. couldnt see through it… do i have the right thing is this the jet…?

400EX seems to be running super rich alot of backfire out the exhaust 2 ft flames… it will run with choke off but not idle… the carb seems to pump alot when its idleing with choke on… where to start…

It ran fine before it sat.. yes i know there are a thousand threads… my main question is the thin foam filter?

Flushed brake fluid today.

Since my 2014 Rancher is two years old by the manufacturer date on the frame and because the fluid looked kind of dark through the sight window, I decided to flush it out. Honda recommends flushing the system every two years.

I used Prestone Dot4. I also flushed the fluid in my fiancee’s 2005 Rancher 400 automatic using the same fluid. She bought this in 2009 and it has not been done since she has owned it. The fluid was very dark through the sight window. One of the screws for the master cylinder lid would not come out and I stripped the phillips head on it. I had to use an easy out to get the screw out and luckily I found another screw at the hardware store that worked.

To flush the fluid, I sucked out most of the fluid from the master cylinder and then added new fluid. I then used my Mityvak brake bleeder and drew the fluid through the bleeders until the fluid ran clear, making sure to keep the master cylinder full. I did this on both sides. It did not take long at all.

Does anyone else do this on their ATV’s?

01 Recon clutch adjuster bad,cant get it out.

2001 Recon clutch adjuster

The threads on the inner screw must be bad above the jam nut because the jam nut will not back off at all, so I want to change it all out. It stays tight no matter how far i turn it.
I have the cover off but the stupid thing just stays snug and spins. I did get the inner part to back off and get out of the way, but I dont want to mess any threads in the cover up by just wailing on it with the impact gun trying to back it out. Does the alloy cover even have the threads for this or can I just let the impact gun run for a while and see what happens? Would it press out?

07 rancher help

My rancher will start and idle but if you give it gas it dies. When you restart it sometimes backfires. IF you sloooowly give it has you can get it going. As long as you keep the RPMs up it will go. As soon as you let off it’ll die. I’ve changed the spark plug and the fuel pump ass.
Took out the injector and it seems clean. About to drive me batty. Anybody know what I need to try next?

stumped and going crazy

Gt the 88 trx3002wd running again. New coil, CDI ,plug and carb.It fires up at the slightest touch of the button and idles all day and revs through the rpm range smoothly . BUT…..As soon as i start ring it runs like absolute s@%t.Getting great spark and constant strong flow of fuel.It want die or stall out, just like its on rev limiter the entire time.pull plug and its dry sooty.Any ideas???? I was leaning towards valve adj but wouldn’t it run like crap in neutral reving to if it was valves.
