Bogging out problem please help!! Supposed to ride this weekend

I have an 01 300ex that is bored out .20 over. It has a full FMF exhaust and the jets in the carb have gone from the stock 122 to 140. Now it is bogging out when I go full throttle. I have tried it with the stock jets and the 140 and it does the same thing. The motor is strong and starts like it is brand new. I am lost as to what the problem would be. Also one of the bolts on the cam tensioner must have come out when riding and it seemed like after I am done riding oil weeps out from around the tensioner. Is that possible? Please help as I am supposed to go riding this weekend. Thanks!!!

Should I rebuild my Differential? 89 350 Fourtrax

1989 fourtrax 350

When I got this quad it had milky oil in the rear differential.
The rear brake was rusted out and full of water.

I think the water got in through the brake and through the axle housing into the differential?

While replacing the brake I started thinking about the differential. The pinion spins fine the bearings seem Ok.

Would a little water in the diff really hurt it that much?
I want to get this thing on the road and I dont know if i have the tools/ experience to rebuild this diff alone. (the manual makes it look pretty scary)

Should I rebuild the diff to be safe? Or Re assemble as is?
Just looking for some personal opinions.

Thanks.

420 rancher not running

My fuel injected rancher started early last week and would not run past 3/4 throttle. I have replaced the spark plug in the past week. I went to start it last night and it started and spit and sputtered and died before I got it backed out of the garage. Now it will just turn over but not even want to start. Any help with my problem will be greatly appreciated.

2007 trx250te Recon Rear axle parts placement

Rebuilding a 2007 250 Recon. Left bearing gone, except races. All removed, brakes, axle, seals bearings, etc. Bought new double bearings for left side and new seal. A bushing is required to slide on the axle as the seal ID is too large. The bushing is machined out on one side less than a quarter of an inch. I have a parts breakdown from Cheap Cycle but unable to determine if this is even the correct bushing. If it is it looks like there is nothing to hold it all in except just the pressure of the seal against the housing. The bushing can be easily removed by hand. I believe I have the brake side pretty much right except for the o ring. Remember removing it but no idea where it does now. Also another o ring that is sort of tapered. I would like to see a "clear" picture of the parts breakdown so I can identify these parts and where they go.

Just signed up today. Retired but work on friends and relatives stuff and they seem to have different ones. Any help appreciated.

Clicking noise from rear axle?

Hey everyone, I just bought a 2001 Honda trx250 from a buddy and noticed a clicking noise coming from the rear end when I push/pull the atv a couple feet. I was thinking the problem is a axle bearing/wheel bearing related but I do not know for sure. Didn’t know if anyone else has had this problem before or not but any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

400ex jetting

Alright guys I’m currently in the stage of completely rebuilding a 400ex motor that was blown up by previous owner because it was never jetted. Bore will be 85.5mm Wiseco 10:1 piston. Curtis sparks exhaust, K&N filter. Where should I start on the needle setting and the pilot and main jets?

Loud speaking rear axle

I got a 2004 Honda 250ex and I’ve been noticing a noise in the back where the axle is. I’ve heard this for a few months now so I replaced the bearings hoping that would fix the problem but it didn’t. It seems like anytime your are driving it no matter what the speed is it still makes the noise. And it keeps getting louder and louder the more I drive it. Does anyone know how I can fix or what I need to buy to fix this problem?
Thanks

TRX 300 axle

Hi men, a quick question or two if I may. The 4wd 300 (or most of one) I acquired that’s in excellent condition apart from a busted rear diff casing is due to be started on shortly. I managed to buy a 2wd TRX300 with all the bits I need (engine smokes but don’t need that) including a good rear axle. Will the 2wd axle fit the 4wd 300 straight on (ratio’s etc) or will I need to just use the diff case.

What’s the set up with removing / fitting a rear axle. I do have a down load manual but you can’t beat an experienced guy running through it for you. Manuals don’t give you experience.

Cheers men.

Need axle bearings, Ebay aftermarkert or OEM???

In need of axle bearings from my 2000 Honda Recon. Need both in the swing plate and brake assemble. Checked out Zilla and Rocky Mountain, these thing must made of gold. Found a few sellers on Ebay a little cheaper. Located a few threads where recommendations were made to go with Ebay.

Anyone have any experience with a good seller? Job so far has been a real PIA, want to get some bearing that will hold up.
