I got a 2004 Honda 250ex and the rear axle is squeaking so much that it makes a noise even when u sit on the seat. Any time I drive it squeaks 1-5 gear no matter what the speed. I know it’s not the bearings cause I just replaced them so what is it, I would like someone to tell me what’s going on and how and what I have to buy to fix it
:funnysuzuki:Hello!
Wondering if I can get a little advice from anyone on my 2011 Rubicon. I Adjusted the valves tonite, been having a ticking noise, so hoping it was the valves out of adjustment. Set all 4 at .006. Then I read on another forum that the exhaust should be at .009. I do not have a service manual
Can anyone confirm what is the correct setting for the intake and exhaust on a 2011 Rubicon?
Thanks!
Alright guys here we go. I’ve got a Epi performance upgrade kit ordered (3-4 weeks wait time). But before I go any further I want to be sure the clutch is in fact the problem.
I adjusted the clutch as the manual says to do and get nothing out of the bike, no movement forward or in reverse. I tried the adjustment several times and had zero luck.
I did have my younger brother (who is 15 who wanted some spending cash) offer to change all fluids in the bike, and a week later my problems started, he used mobile 1 10w-40 engine oil, I know this could cause slipping, but this drastically? I’ve since then had the oil drained out and but the proper hn4 oil in it and still nothing.
Should this new clutch kit solve the problem or is it potentially more?
Could the wrong oil have that much of ill effect on these clutches?

I have had this issue for almost a year now, I originally had a code 4 and replaced the bad sensor. I still couldn’t get rid of the code until I replaced the ECM (which I found out was bad). I also replaced the regulator which fried the ECM. This is when the code 6 appeared. I replaced the angle sensor (which had no continuity) and tried to clear the code and do the setting procedure but it refuses to clear. I have had the wiring harness checked and it is still good. I am stuck with no options left. The quad is a 2004 Honda Foreman Rubicon 500 with the Hondamatic.
I had good success reviving this 1990 TRX 300 FW. The tip I wanted to pass along was that instead of spending $600 on new plastic, I sprayed on tinted Monstaliner and it is fantastic. Basically cost about $100. I have no connection to the product, just wanted to share as a cost saving tip. (Rebuilding a half missing engine is another story altogether…)
