Hey everybody I have a TRX400FGA the oil change message came up on my dash,so I changed the oil and filter,now how do I remove the message from display? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a 07 Rancher 420, I just changed the valves, also rings and piston. I went up in size with ring and piston due to scuffing in cylinder. (.50) bike starts right up no more smoke issues, But now I,m cutting out when throttling up.

I bought a compression test kit, and looks like compression is good….but high compared to the service manual…which says 73psi my reading is right around 175-179….. i have replaced my rings before and everything was fine no issues, so now I,m stumped…. can anyone help????

I have a 1986 Honda Fourtrax 250 that I have been trying hard to get running. It had been sitting for many years. I removed the carb, cleaned and installed a Moose rebuild kit. It began to flood from overflow on carb almost immediately after turning on gas. I have tried polishing the needle seat with brasso and q-tip and have the seat very well cleaned and polished. I also experimented with the original needle and the aftermarket- no difference. Checked float- it is floating.

Am I missing anything? Any suggestions?

Does anyone have any pics of their inline fuel filter location?

Have a foreman 450 the exhaust turns red when you try to rev it up and it runs rough. idles smooth Have checked timing marks and valve clearance. Had the carb rebuilt. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I like a lot of the help that others have got here but I did not see a match for the issue I am having so here is my story.

I got my 1986 Honda Fourtrax 350 and ran it on a number of trips for a year with no problems until its last trip where I left camp and made it a short distance out of camp before the machine just shut off and would not start back up as if there was no power. After towing it back to camp and letting it sit for hours it started right up with no problems and shut off again after running a short period. What I have found is it will start up fine and runs for between 10 and 12 minutes shuts off and will not start back up. If you come back hours later it starts right up. Something else I’ve noticed is the oil temp light next to the key is supposed to come on briefly when the key is turned and then goes off but while this problem has existed sometimes the light does not come on but other times it does but no matter what the light is doing the shutting off after 10 minutes still happens.

After trying to understand what this problem could be, I am assuming it is an issue with the oil temp sensor or fan controller or cdi. If you agree, is there any way to test these components to know which is failing? If not do you have a feel for which order to start replacing? Also if you think there is something else causing this problem I would like to hear about it. Thanks!

Sorry if im posting this in the wrong place im new here. The steering bearings are completly worn out and where the steering stem goes in the frame, the lock ring that holds a bearing in is completly seized to the bearing and the stem housing so i can’t get the bearing out. Any help would be really really appreciated.

2006 Rancher 350.

I will start from scratch. A few months ago my overflow tube started leaking so I rebuilt the carb. Bike ran a little rough after and still leaked gas unless petcock was off. I went for a ride around the block and it started rapidly backfiring and sputtering then died. Took carb out again to clean float bowl again and make sure the needle was good and float wasnt cracked. Everything looked fine so I put it back together. The bike cranked up fine and ran good until halfway around the block and died again. Now it won’t start. Should I just buy a new carb and drain gas/clean tank?? Any advice appreciated.

Hello all my recon has been sitting for a couple years and now it won’t start. I have cleaned the carburetor and replaced the jets. I put it all back together and still will not start. The engine will fire with starter fluid but will not continue to run. Need suggestions. thanks in advance
