06 Honda 500 crazy problem! Help!

I just bought an 06 Honda foreman 500es and the guy rode it last night and said it ran out of fuel. I added fuel and replaced the spark plug. It’s getting gas to carb and is getting a nice strong blue spark. All it has done is backfire out of exaust twice and the carb a couple of times. And only does that when I shoot ether in carb or poured a little bit of gas in the sparkplug hole. Any ideas?

91 trx250x its dead!

I have a 91 trx250x I bailed my son out off. long story short he bought it not running and I gave him what he paid for it……its a parent thing. Now its time to see if it will run. He was told the stator was bad so I bought a new one and installed it but don’t think that was the problem. I have never had a atv and always played with cars so this is all new to me. There are a few wires not hooked to anything and are cut at the front of the bike. With a test light I know there is juice in one of the 2 main wires that come from the stator when you kick it over. nothing anywhere else…..Where do I start to diagnose the problem….any suggestions would help

Carb problem

Hello all,

I have recently decided to resurrect my old 2000 Honda 400 Ex. It has been sitting for over 5 years at least. I started by charging the battery, cleaning and refilling the fuel tank with new fuel, replacing the spark plug and cleaning out the carb. I purchased plenty of carb cleaner and a carb rebuild kit, I have used most of the cleaner and replaced all the worn and old parts. After reinstalling the carb I’m finding that the bowl will not fill with fuel, I know I’m getting gas into the inlet but it is stopping there. Should the bowl fill with fuel as soon as the valve is opened on the tank or does it take engine vacuum to fill it on this model? I have tried to clean this thing every way I know how to no avail, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this, I know it is long!
