85 250 trx trying to replace bearing behind stator but dont know how to remove the front drive shaft to gain access to the flywheel. can anyone help me? have no manual either. tried to download but the site wont let me. so ……?

I have a 2006 Foreman 500 ES that when I got, wasn’t running. Checked Stator and CDI and both good. However, no compression. Rebuilt top end and started bike, and it ran. Drove it for 5 mins and it quit running. Figured because it had been sitting, the carb was junked up. Rebuilt carb and still acting like it’s not getting gas. Has good blue spark at plug (new). Compression is good, timing set. Valves adjusted. Everything should point to it starting, but it won’t. It won’t even run on starting fluid. Acts like it wants to start, but won’t. Battery is the only thing that hasn’t been replaced. However, it’s not holding charge. Have tried to jump it to see if it would start, but still won’t fire off. Any ideas where I need to look to next?? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I recently was towing a heavy load and had the bike under a fair amount of strain for an extended time. Once finished with the job it began sputtering and now dies if you try to give it gas. It starts and idles perfectly and is giving me an error on the FI light that indicates low voltage. I’ve check all the wiring and everything looks fine. I’ve read it could be an issue with the TP or MAP sensor (?) for the fuel injector. I’m changing the fuel filter tonight, but i don’t have very much faith that will help given the error light. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

So I have a 1999 foreman S all time 4×4.

I have fuel, remove air box, and with hand over carb its wet…(2 week old cab btw)
I have Fire, removed plug from head, checked while turning engine over I have fire.
while plug was out I put my thumb over the plug hole, and turned it over Blew my thumb out…so I’m guessing compression isn’t the issue.(but ill check with gauge tomorrow).

so any ideas? new to atv’s do not sure what other electric components could be my issue. is there a way to test the kill switch? I’m guessing if it were that id not have seen the fire..

Ok Guys need some help. I have a 2014 420 manual shift, with around 750 miles. While riding it the other day my 14yo son got it in some pretty deep water, not over the tank. he kept it running, we pulled him out and cut it off. checked the oil (no water) it was low but no milky color at all. checked the breather box. It had oil in it . Really don’t understand that one. Anyways after all that it wouldn’t crank. tried a couple of times but wouldn’t stay running. checked the plug, it has spark. Got it back to the house, topped the oil off still wont start. Pulled the air filter sprayed a little starting fluid and it will try to start. so its gotta be fuel related. Right??

I picked up an 02 250ex for my son. It needed some work the handle bars where bent and brake/reverse leaver was broken and it was missing th air box it has the filter attached directly to the carb and the baffle and internals was removed from the muffler. I checked the oil after I got it home an it was empty or basically empty. Dipped the stick and with the dipstick screwed in you could barley see oil on the bottom of the stick not even on low level. I added the proper oil to top it off about 1/2-2/3 a quart and tried to take it for a ride and it went I in to first fine but trying to get it to second it didn’t want to engage no matter how much pressure I put on the shifter. It goes into reverse fine too but first and reverse does kind of jump when you get it in to gear. When it’s running if I get the rpm’s high it will go into the next gear and I was able to go through all the gears. But the rpm’s have to be up there to change the gear and even then it’s very hard it kind of slams into the gear. When it’s off it will run through the gear’s no prob. I changed the oil completely because somebody told me that dirty oil could be the prob the oil was very black but no metal shavings in it but it didn’t fix anything with the shifting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please excuse me being a newb. I have ridden a friends 250ex recentley so I know that it’s my machine not my riding.

Hi, the tail light on my 250 is working fine but the lens is smashed. I contacted parts and they informed me that the lens cannot be purchased separately therefore you have to buy a full tail light which is pricey.. £60/$92 🙁 Its rather expensive when all i need is a lens. Does anyone know if there is any aftermarket lights available that are the same shape that i could use? thanks

I am working on a 1987 Honda foreman fortrax 350. This four wheeler has a mind of its own! At first it would not start, found rust in fuel tank,cleaned tank.Replaced fuel pump, not running. replaced fuel filter, stopped up with rust.Rebuilt carb.with new kit. Runs great one time and then cant get started at times, just pops like trying to hit but wont run…. Had air duct off back of carb. and when wont start blows gas and air out back of carb. Can someone please help me!!!! Thank you for any help!!!! I am a Auto technician and not stupid but relly feel flustrated.

hey, just bought a 85 big red 250 es and the plug wire is too short.. the coil is just hanging.. was wondering can you replace just the wire on these coils or do you have to replace the whole coil pack? thanks!

hey all, just got a 85 big red 250es and the plug wire is too short so the coil is just hanging.. was wondering if the plug wire can be replaced on the ignition coil or does the whole coil have to be replaced?
