Morning all! I bought a 96 TRX400FW about 2 months ago. Noticed it was a bit loud for my liking. I also saw the spark arrestor bolt was missing. Anyone know what size bolt I can use to close that hole up? Honda doesn’t have any in stock and would take a week to get one. I’m sure any metric bolt will fit in there. Looked at the parts fisch and the have all the exhaust bolt sizes except that one of coarse.

Hi all this is my first post here. I have recently purchased a 09 Rancher 420 4×4 ES. The machine only goes into 5th gear. It sounds like the shift motor is trying to go into gear but won’t. It will not shift with the Manuel shifter either. I have replaced the angle sensor, cleaned the shift motor and put a brand new battery on it. What would be the next step y’all would try? Any help is appreciated thanks!
This thing was bullet proof in its day. The only issue it had was a pull to the left or right (can’t recall which) that made it a struggle to steer. Other than that it was flawless. Now it has sat in my garage for nearly 6 years without any attention whatsoever. What should be my first move?
:mad:i did all normal checks the coil was bad so i changed it the cdi box was so cheap went ahead and changed it too still no spark where do i need to start looking at next? ANYONE HELP?
hello, I have an 88 trx 300 im working on and it isn’t charging the battery any more. I ohm’d the stator and got 1.3 ohms from leg to leg. I have a manual for it but cant seem to find it at the moment. can anyone give me specs/ideas?
My brother bought a used 88 fourtrax that was ticking very bad. I took it apart and found the cam and cam journal were spun. I replaced it with a refurbished Big Red head and cam (I used the valve cover that came with the new head as well), with new valves and so on. 10 hours later the darn thing spun again. Could it be the oil pump or oil line? What would you all recommend. I don’t mind putting a new head on this machine, but I don’t want to be chasing my tail and not fixing the root cause. Thanks in advance.
Hey guys I just bought an 01 trx 250 ex. I go to start the it and the starter just spins, the flywheel doesn’t engage. Any ideas on what would cause this? The starter spins freely, I was able to bench test it. When it spins you can hear just whining inside the case, not turning anything over. It has good compression (just put a new jug and piston in it) any ideas or help is appreciated, thank you!
