OK yesterday my 95 Honda 300 fourtrax was running perfect, then all the sudden it just quite idling. It will fire right back up when you add throttle but will not idle. It was idling fine 5 min prior. Any idea on what happened. Plenty of gas, spark plug new, was moving from one food plot to another and it just wont idle.

I have a 1985 Honda TRX 250 that has a Starter Valve (a.k.a choke cable, a.k.a enrichment valve) is stuck inside the carburetor.

I bought this project ATV for $300 and so far it is a blast to work on, until I go to clean the carburetor and the starter valve is really stuck in there. I have no way to disconnect the valve from the cable and I can’t clean it until I disconnect it.

She runs great, but is due for a good deep cleaning.

Any ideas? Any suggestions? Here is a pic…

I finally have a Sunday off and would like to get this baby put back together again for an evening ride! :noworktomorrow:

I’ve had the wife’s 420AT torn down for over a year. Finally dropped the motor back in it this morning, and don’t know what I’ve done with the ground wire.

There’s the ground coming off the frame that I think hooks to a starter mounting bolt (right?)

Where does the ground from the battery go?

Now I gotta find the dang cable…..

I’m putting together a trx300 and I have three wiring loans which I should of marked but didn’t.
My guestion is if I put a green plug CDI loam to what used to be an engine running on a red plug will it go?

Will it damage anything?

How can I tell which engine had the red and which had the green now that I have mixed them up?

im on my third pressure plate, trying to replace clutches,they keep breaking!
im trying to torque at 108 inch lbs/9ft lbs in 3 crisscross patterns
i get to about 70 and they snap,its really aggravating.any help would be appreciated!!!!

What should the compression be on my 2010 TRX420FM ?
I’m getting 80 psi dry

What’s recommend with a new plug, to leave the cap on or to take off? Honda Recon 250. Lol also may have dropped old cap into motor, because I did not see one on original plug :/

I just bought a 200x non running for $100 it has spark and compression. The carb is getting fuel to it. It won’t even run with starting fluid. Any help is appreciated!
