Fuel/air issue??? Recon 250

Hey guys, I’m having an issue with my ’04 recon 250.
It started acting up last week and I can’t figure out what’s going on.
I rebuilt the carb thinking that would be the easiest solution, but it didn’t help.
I used and oem rebuild kit, although it didn’t appear to need it.

After it sets overnight it’ll start with the choke on with no problem. I’ll run it easy for a second and kill the choke. I’ll continue to ride it easy and it does fine until I down shift. At that point everything goes stupid.
It starts back firing, spuddering, and wanting to die.
I have to pull the choke all the way out in order for it to calm down enough to make it back to the garage. Up shifting does nothing at this point. By the time I make it around the block it acts flooded, and then it won’t start for a while. When it started doing this last week, it was spewing gas from the drain hose on the bottom of the carb. (That’s why I rebuilt the carb)
Today after the rebuild, it didn’t do that, but it’s still doing everything else?

I get that it could be flooded, but then why would it not want to run correctly going down the road unless the choke is pulled all the way out?

Also, I have the throttle screw turned 1.5 turns.
Assuming that’s where it needs to be from watching all the videos. But I can’t get the bike warmed up enough to make any adjustments if needed.

whats up everyone I´m having problems trying to find the front brake cylinder here where I live, and the only place where I can get them is in the dealership but the price they give me is $80bucks each… so I was wondering if anyone of you have one of these or if I can adapt one from other bike?? or an online store that can have them? I dont really care if it is used I just want my bike to brake lol.

Honda trx 300 engine noise

After I had been riding my 300 around I put it in neutral and noticed a pretty loud clicking noise coming from the left case of the engine, where the stator and starter gears are located. The bike only does it when it is in neutral and once I go into drive it is fine. Any ideas? It doesn’t seem to be causing any problems because the bike runs and drives perfect its just annoying to have a completely rebuilt engine making noise. **I did not rebuild the engine and am wondering if they put it together wrong.

86 TRX350 Not running when in gear

I have an ’86 FourTrax. I’ve done a lot of fixup to it, but it has had a problem since I bought it which was about a year ago. The problem is getting worse. the 4wheeler will start, but intermittantly when the shifter moves (even a little) from neutral it wants to cut off. If I let go of the shifter before it makes it into gear, it will continue running. I have the wiring diagram, and after study I can’t find anything that would cause this. I have seen something called "DC Consent" and it looks like this is the one thing both the reverse and neutral switch have in common. Does anyone know what this is? How about where it is? I will take any advice. It is nearly unusable the way it is.

96 Fourtrax 300 not starting

Hey guys ,
I recently purchased a 96 Fourtrax 300 in rough shape and not running.
The carb body was busted from hitting something when the previous owner rolled the quad over.
I replaced the carb with a new caltric , installed factory specced jets , set pilot jet at 2 1/4 turns out. Then I removed the gas tank and cleaned it out well , removed the petcock , cleaned the screen , and flushed the tank with fresh gas .
The existing battery was trashed so I replaced it and rebuilt the starter because it wouldnt turn over.
I then changed the oil , oil filter , and air filter before trying to fire her up………and no go. The spark is white and intermittent so I order a new coil. Replaced the coil this morning and have the same symptoms. The motor turns over well , spark plug is wet with gas but the spark is still weak and random.
When I hit the start button it might spark right away or it might be two seconds before it sparks . I dont have a compression tester but the compression blows my finger out of the plus hole with authority.
Any ideas?

By the way , I do have the manual and plan on testing the resistance and voltage in the other ignition components but wanted to see if anyone might have some insight.
