So I was riding my 300ex today and when I turned it off the neutral light and reverse lights wont come on. Neither will the headlights. Already checked the fuse.
I have an 04 Foreman Rubicon TRX 500 that has sat for a couple of years. After flushing the gas tank and lines, replacing the petcock, cleaning carb and jets, and putting back together, the only way I can throttle up or idle is with the choke fully engaged.
I have an 04 Recon ES that wont start. It wont do anything. I put a new battery on it and the neutral light is on bright and green but it wont turn over or do anything. I know it has to be an electrical component and I don’t think it is a short or anything. It was running fine and then nothing. What do I check first?
I have a 1996 4 trax 4 wheel drive, I am in the process of rebuilding the rear end
pinion and ring gear. need help on the process, things like backlash etc.
Any direction would be very nice.

Hi all, new to the forum. I picked up an 07 250ex today and think I got a big time rip off. I was told it was last ran earlier this year and then sat outside not used since. It didn’t have a battery so I couldn’t check much but by the looks of it, it was well used. I hooked up a battery tonight and can hear and feel the starter engage, but doesnt turn over the motor. I bypassed the solenoid for the heck of it, and no difference. I then attempted to put it in gear to see if I could push the bike to see if the engine would turn over, thinking maybe I have a starter problem. In all gears the bike rolls easily as if its still in neutral. I’m not too familiar with this motor but shouldn’t it be engaged as I push it forward? Any suggestions? Thanks for any help
ATV was starting great but it won’t even turn over now. I started it up this morning with no issues at all. I parked it for a couple of hours and when I tried to start it again the electric start wouldn’t do anything. I started it manually with no problems and the engine runs perfectly, but the speedometer is bouncing all over the place and all the lights (instrument panel and headlights) are very dim. I also noticed the oil temp light stays on too. I’ve checked all the fuses under the seat and the battery is currently on the charger. I don’t think it’s the battery because it powers the winch like it always has and it’s only about 1 1/2 yrs old. Anyone have any ideas what may be causing the problem? I did a quick search online and couldn’t find anything. Thanks for any advice you may have!
I have had a manual foot shifter on my atv instead of fixing the Es. Recently when I shifted up with the foot shifter it slipped off of the gearshift rod. I can shift down but not up.Currently the computer says that every gear is neutral so I can put it in reverse and start it up. But I can’t shift up. I want to fix the Es instead of taking that back case off. I have replaced the angle sensor and cleaned out the shift motor. Where should I start in fixing/finding the problem. Thanks

I have recently acquired a 1999 TRX-250 fourtrax which has been neglected by the previous owner. I have been working through the basics of cleaning it up and servicing which includes changing oils and filters, adjusting carb, cleaning fuel tank and running some fuel system cleaner, new spark plug etc.
Generally it starts and runs ok I think. However when I have been riding it hard for an hour or so, like through soft sand or revving high to get over rocks for example, I’ve noticed it is getting quite hot and some smoke is coming from the bottom rear area of the engine. I think it also struggles a bit at this point as in seems to lose some responsiveness to the throttle particularly on lower throttling.
Could anyone give me some ideas as to what could be causing this smoke/behaviour? Or is there any further servicing i should be doing assuming it has been poorly looked after in the past?
I took the right and left crankcase covers off to check the one way bearings and replaced gaskets/ cleaned out the oil filter screen. After reinstalling the covers I attempted to shift the transmission out of neutral to check the function, but I cant get it to go into 1st gear or neutral.
Where do I begin to troubleshoot this thing? I turned the engine over and rotated the output shaft while attempting to shift but the lever stops before clicking into gear. everything turns freely.
Hi guys. So I have this 02 400ex with a stage 2 hot cam in it, and the last time it was rebuilt, they didn’t put new gaskets in it. So when ever it’s running it bubbles out of the motor in a few different spots. There will be pics. This is my question. We got a complete top end gasket kit for it. When we have it apart should we just have it rebuilt again or no. Not sure when it was rebuilt last. Anything helps. Thanks!
