How to wire LED Spotlights
I recently found garyp’s thread where he installed LED spotlights to his atv’s handlebars, I thought it was a good idea so I decided to do the same on my Honda Trx250TM. I have installed the lights but now I have the job of wiring them up. I have viewed a few threads and it seems the easiest way is to wire them straight to your battery, can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this? do I need a relay? I attached garyps photo, my lights are the same as that.
thanks in advance 🙂
93 300 fourtrax no spark
Im working on 2 300 fourtraxs. 96 is running, 93 has no spark. I’ve really been studying up on this. I’ve went through all the service manual checks. Put a new ricks cdi and still no spark. With old cdi I’m getting voltage to ignition coil. With new cdi I get nothing. So I’ve been able to check n replace few parts to verify working properly with running bike. My rectifier & coil are good on both. I got ac voltage coming form Altenator & pulse generator. Ignition switches are good. Service manual says these two should be wired the same but the 2 pin connector for cdi are different. 93 has black/white & grey, 96 has black/white & light green. This different wire is on that goes to reverse switch and diode. Diodes both check good too. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks ahead…
400ex wiring harness or timing help please
i recent installed the battery relocate airbox and a new head gasket and valve cover gasket. when i got it back together it will turn over but not start so i assume from the battery to relay to starter is fine. gas is getting to the carb, i opened it to check. i stuck a small allen wrench into the spark plug wire and held it near the frame to make sure it was sparking, it was. so it appears to be getting air, gas, and a spark. it acts like when you have the kill switch off and try to start. so…i assume i either got the timing wrong or connected something wrong in the wiring harness. for the timing, i turned until i got a "t" in the peephole, installed the cam with lobes facing down and the cam sprocket which has 3 lines in it like this _ | _ i have the two
horizontal ones parallel to the head and the vertical one pointing up perpendicular to the head. i just have my headers sitting loosely in the holes, im not sure if this would create an issue with backpressure or something. i bypassed the neutral safety switch several months ago by just splicing green to yellow green in the wiring harness and it worked fine. everything worked fine until i relocated battery and put on gaskets. anyone have some things i could look for? i also checked the ground on the left side of motor down near the shifter, still connected. the lights will come on when the key is in and turned.

Carb Trouble 400EX with video
Hi All,
New here but this is my 4th honda quad and I’ve never had this problem before. As you can see in the video link below, it starts fine and idles but whenever I snap the throttle it gulps and stalls out. I have already checked both jets and they are clean and clear. I also use fuel stabilizer religiously so it’s not the fuel either. The quad is totally stock. The link will show a video of the symptoms.https://goo.gl/photos/5akEvf6TGy2rGHLL7

Can someone identitfy this part?
I have an ’03 Rancher that suddenly quit running on me. Won’t start, lights won’t work, completely dead. I found this part (see attachment) on the ground and suspect it has something to do with it, but I have no idea what it is and where does it go. Can anyone help?

2012 420at shifting problems
My 420at has problems shifting to first in auto or electric shift. It does go in gear but show a horizontal bar in the display. If you goose the throttle and drive a bit it will show in gear sometimes and shift through the rest of the gears fine. I have taken the shift motor apart and it is clean. I have replaces the shift angle sensor and cleaned the gears and replaced with synthetic grease. Nothing has changed the symptoms. This bike has 274 miles on it,
What else could it be?

350D rebuild
Anyone have a link to a rebuild thread with pics (or a youtube video)?
Friend dropped of his son’s 350D, that apparently had the top end removed and then has been sitting for quite a while.
The boy asked me to fix it, and I told him it will be awhile.
Looks like an overhead cam? I’ve rebuilt 500’s and 420’s, but never been into one of these older machines.
HELP! 2001 400ex- white smoke and some dirty oil coming out of exhaust
Hi guys!
This is my first post hope I can find some help. Thanks in advance!
So I just bought a 2001 400ex yesterday. When I test drove it it was fine but didn’t have an exhaust on it and the oil was pretty dirty.
Today, I picked up new 10-40 oil and a fresh oil filter. As well as, a used stock 400ex exhaust.
I changed the oil and filter and installed the stock exhaust.
I turned it on and white smoke just continued to pour out I turned it off for awhile and waited…kicked it back on and still smoked, I then noticed there was really black oil coming from exhaust. The exhaust tip has a screw missing (well broke off in the hole) so there is only 2 screws in it.
Ugh I’m just hoping I didn’t just waste all that cash on something I don’t know how to fix. :icon_ cry::icon_ cry:
