I took my 03 rancher to Busco beach over the weekend and wnet through a hole that was a little too deep and got water in my exhaust. After I drained it I looked in the air box and it was coated in engine oil. My buddy said I have bad rings and that’s what caused it but it wasn’t anything to get really concerned about. Is he right or should I get going on fixing it?

Vent line size
Need to replace the vent lines on my rigs. What size hose is it? Figure I’ll buy a spool of bulk hose rather than pay $$$ for Honda hoses.
Battery Leads
So I was working on the Quad today when I needed to jump it but had issues because I could not differentiate between the two. Both wires are black with rd tips but one has the solenoid and fuse and some other wire with a blue end to it. Any help on finding out. I tried myself via resistance testing but the configuration that told me blew a fuse
1986 – FourTrax TRX200SX – Electric Starter R&R
I need to replace the starter in my TRX200SX, and the service manual states that I need to remove the fuel tank, air box, left side engine case cover, starter reduction cear cover…etc…
From the looks of it, i can remove both mounting bolts to the starter, as well as the wires from the starter without removing the fuel tank or air box.
Do I NEED to remove any of the stuff on the left engine cover and reduction gear cover to replace the starter?
Apologies in advance for my ignorance on the subject, this is my first quad, and I’m really excited to the the electric starter working.
Thanks!
Joe
TRX300FW reverse stopper issues
Hello,
I am working on my 1988 TRX300FW. It will go into reverse without pulling the left handle bar lever. What should I do to fix this issue? Is this common?
Please advise, JStok

trx300fw carb issues
Hello,
I recently rebuilt the top end on a 1988 trx300fw and am now having idle issues. Some times the ATV will idle slow so I idle it up. It will idle normally for awhile then after about 5 minutes of riding it will idle very fast. I installed a plug in the starter jet hole as the manual said to do. Is that a special type of plug? What could I try doing to get a normal idle?
Thanks
