Well im new to the site and thanks to all who help. So i have no spark. I checked coil and kill switch. I have power at the kill switch but none at the coil. Coil ohms out good. Its a honda foreman 87′ 350. I have tried to ohm out the cdi box but my manual has a different cdi with a clip in harness and mine has wires. Anyone know where it get the ohm readings any thing would great.
Thanks

Oh and before the spark quit the atv was running really rich and was fouling plugs every ride. I have a carb rebuild kit i just got in the mail but cant use until i get a lil spark.
I know this is not the correct oil to use, and will lead to glazing of the friction clutch discs. But will it lead to a catastrophic failure? How long till glazing would cause total clutch failure? or really bad shifts? I recommended to someone to use a JASCO MA oil, was told that they were going to use 10w30, had been using it and are going to continue to use it. Not much I could say at that point. Will an opportunity where someone, less caring than myself, would be likely to use that expression "I told you so"? LOL
I am in the process of fixing all the electrical issues with this atv and have another problem. The bike will on try to start with the rear brake pedal pressed down. The neutral light is on and the bike is in neutral.
You guys have probably been asked before. But I have a 250 rearend and am thinking of putting it in a 300. Can I just bolt it on or do I have to use it with the 250 axle and 250 brake set up. Or does it work just with the 300 axle and brake set up. Thanks
I’ve recently bought my Dad a 2004 Honda TRX450FM, the quad is a little rough but everything worked fine when it was delivered, came to ride it the other day and first gear will not engage. You can select reverse fine and you can select second gear and pull off ok in that gear and the quad goes through the rest of the gears fine. Does anyone know what this could be?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve got some experience on bikes but this is the first quad I’ve had anything to do with.

Hello,
I have a 2004 Honda Foreman Rubicon 500 with that hondamatic transmission in it. A friend of mine has an 02 Honda rancher 350 with the usual foot shift transmission. When we go on day-long rides, we notice that my atv uses a lot more fuel then his. If he uses a 1/2 tank; I’m near empty. I was wondering if this is normal or not. And if not what can we look at to fix this problem? We both have the same mods to our atvs; warn 424, 2" lift, disk brake conversion. I don’t understand why I burn so much more fuel. And with a bigger tank. Any suggestions will be helpful. We keep our atvs in top condition and regularly change oil and filters. Any questions you can email me, respond to this post, or direct message me. Any suggestions on how to fix this is appreciated!!
Thanks,

Hey guys, I have a 2010 Honda Rancher 420. I haven’t rode the ATV since last fall. This week I went and tried to start it but the ATV would not turn over. I charged the battery and once charged the ATV started up but had a different sounding idle. I let the ATV run for a few minutes then put it in gear. As soon as I put the ATV in gear it took off without me pushing the throttle. WHat could the issue be and how can I fix it?
