1992 big red trx 300 rear wheel drive only
I have a 1992 big red trx 300 but only the rear wheel drive is working,
any idea what it can be , things to check or how to test the front wheel drive,
I don’t want to take it apart without knowing what I am looking for.
Thanks for your help. Roy
Another “won’t start”
Full exhaust
Jetted
AMR super coil and cdi
Uni filter w/modded air box
The bike was running great, I literally went ridding for 2 hours then loaded up the bike and came home. I did not notice anything different with the bike. It sat for three days when I tried to start it, it ran in full choke for a minute with having to give it a little gas then shut off. It would not start again after that. The next day the same deal. Now I won’t start at all, but turns over fine. Any suggestions would be great, doing a compression check tomorrow and then check the timing maybe…..
Thanks Eric

1st Service:DIY or Take it In?
So, my question, is the dealer going to do anything to my ATV that I can’t do at home? Would it be worth spending the money to go to the dealer, or just change the oil and air filter, check bolts to insure they’re tight, grease joints as needed?
Thanks
Chain slipping, rear axle loosening
Typically it is just while going through tough terrain, sticks, deep mud what not that this happens. I just had it happen again this afternoon and noticed something odd.
I put it in neutral and began messing with the chain. I noticed the entire trailer hitch was about 20 degrees from vertical and the chain was tight. I forced the hitch down towards the ground which loosened the chain, I pulled the quad backwards and fed the chain back onto the sprocket, returned the hitch to horizontal (which semi rotates the rear) and it tightened the chain and I was able to drive home no problems.
Anyone know if there is an adjustment rod or what not that would cause the bracket/axel to rotate freely?
And sorry no pictures, I’m using my cell phone as my internet is real slow today!
Cheers, thanks!
