’14 XP1K Wreck Rebuild

Drove my RZR off a cliff in WV and boogered it pretty bad. Started the process of replacing what I broke, building a new cage and reinforcing a few things. I just thought I would document everything here so I can keep up with it.

Here’s the scene of the accident.

Here’s what was left after I got all the broken/bent stuff off.

DIY Snorkel kit- 2015- XP41000

Hello everyone, thought I would share my home made snorkel kit for my 2015 XP41000- total cost was approx 100.00, use 3inch abs and 2 inch abs purchase at home depot. i purchased the 2 air filters on eBay for 25 shipped for both. While I was at in I added a 3 inch induction fan from Amazon ( 14.00) shipped I believe on the intake tube for the belt cooler. The 2 inch was used for the second clutch cooling intake tube but when the cooling fan is turned on the 2 inch has become and exhaust port. anyway I am excited about how it turned out and thought I would share with everyone.

Desertcraft XP Prefilter Install

Installed the kit on my 2015XP. On muddy or dusty trips the side frog skins get clogged. I thought the Desertcraft prefilters are just what I needed. The have way more media surface area and should be less restrictive. Also when we wash the RZR we can just put a plastic bag over the filters. The install instructions are easy to follow and the kit installs pretty easy but I can offer a few tips not in the instructions. First clean the adhesive tape surface on the duct with MEK or something to get the bond surface clean. Next when you line everything up to drill the holes run the drill bit back and forth many times to open up the rubber part of the hole. When you bolt the tube on stuff a rag down the duct so if you drop something you don’t have to tear everything off to retrieve it. I’d hate to drop something down the clutch side and not know it. Could be a spectacular failure! I am really happy with the way it looks.
