I just bought a set of used factory fender flares for my 2014 850. They didn’t come with any hardware to attach them. It appears like I have to drill holes and then get some plastic push pins to attach them??
I went and spent 40 bucks at the dealer yesterday trying to fix this problem. I bought a 40-22 spring and 3 23-54 clutch weights that also fit a 2013 550. It is like a night and day difference on my machine. I have zero hard engagement. It is as smooth as my 570 now in forward and reverse and engages just over idle. I did not touch the secondary. For my machine this was the cats meow it has been waiting for. For you guys who still have this problem and ready for a true fix this one should be it. Like I said it worked wonders for mine.
XP850 is very cold and the warm. If you turn off the ATV warm and then launch so sometimes business is really bad and not be healed by turning off and restarting. When the machine while machine running very cold.

I am looking for some help on my 2009 XP 850. I stored it for the winter and it was running great. I recently got it out and it started right up, but immediately I noticed it wasn’t idling smooth. When I put it in gear and hit the throttle, it would cut out and die. I thought at first maybe the ;little bit of fuel left in it went bad, so I changed that out. I also cleaned the air filter and made sure the battery was charged.
I started it back up and the issue persisted. It will idle (though eratic at times), but as soon as you put it under load and hit the throttle, it begins to rev up and then cuts out as if it isn’t getting any fuel. At the same time it cuts out, I am getting the wrench on the display. If you wait for the wrench to go out, it will take off just fine. It seems to me that this is maybe a connection issue to come type of a throttle sensor? (just a guess). Maybe someone can point me in the right direction here.
I was wondering if anyone has run across this issue. Also, I was hoping someone could give me some help on pulling the codes it is throwing. I’ve tried the turn the switch on and off three times and that does nothing. I can’t seem to find a definitive answer on how to pull the codes off this thing. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I noticed it the other day. The rear rack and body plastics aren’t connected on either side of the rear seat. I searched through my photos and it was like this the first day I brought it home.
I’m surprised I didn’t notice.
I haven’t tried to fix it yet. Figure I’ll add some washers and give it a shot.
Going to replace the belt after 10400 miles on the original. When I saw the price of the 550 OEM I had to get out the oxygen for a minute or two. Since this is now my back up to the 570 has anybody used a belt other than OEM. I just do not want to spend a ton on a belt on a machine that will not be ridden like it use to be. I looked on Fleabay and it looks like Gates has the best prices of them all. I know OEM is the way to go but like I said this will only be a backup machine. Highlifter, EPI and OEM are all over a 100 bucks.

I was out riding on Saturday, and after coming down a large hill I noticed that shifting gears had become nearly impossible. At first I thought maybe the linkage had come loose, but after tearing the plastics off everything is till tight. If I turn the key to on, but don’t fire the engine, I can stick shift with no problems through all the gears. As soon as the engine is running, I literally have to put all my force into moving the shift stick, to the point where it feels something is going to snap. I immediately packed it up and got it into my garage before anything major broke on it. Now I’m asking to see if anyone else has had this issue, and what would be the best guess as to what is wrong?
